Hitachi 6684938 THB-260PFRB24E Starter Assembly

Not even a year old, and not used much just to blow off the cut grass. Went to use it the other day after just trimming my lawn... Snap. These are all junk, no one builds them with good dependable string anymore. Going to try an off brand this time, cant be any worse, and will definitely be cheaper.

Perfect replacement for my Hitachi

Began to repair the pull cord on my Hitachi yard blower. Realized I hate dealing with that recoil spring assy. Found this on Amazon, ordered, received and installed and it starts perfectly again! Life is too short for these kinda hassles. Best $20 I ever spent!

This was an inexpensive but quality part.

Seemed fine for a while but after only 7 months the cord broke.

Ordered Jun 14th 2018. Installed July 1st 2018. Went out today July 21st 2018 and cut the grass before the rain came in. Grabbed the blower to blow off the driveway and went to pull the starter rope today and broke off in my hand..... I cannot believe this item lasted 3 pulls. I can see that the rope is of lesser quality than the original Hitachi but now way did i expect to fail 35 days and 3 uses in.... I have other pull start power tools that have lasted well over 6 years without any pull rope issues... :(
