> 3 dayUsed this as a replacement for an existing failed Moose system originally installed in 1986. I am very happy with its functions so far. It has some nice features when used with key pads #6150rf & 6160. If this system lasts as long as the Moose system did I will be very happy. This system should be installed by a professional. Its a bit technical for the do it yourselfer.

> 3 dayOur Brinks system from 1998 lost 10-12 zones over the past 8 years. When we were down to the smoke detectors and just the front door I knew it was time to invest in a new system. At least we could update to 2022-wifi-phone-alert-app-ready-newness. But what do I do with the 142 hardwired sensors ran throughout my house that still work perfectly? And a wife and kids that are used to the 4 keypad panels we have at multiple entrance/exits? Enter the Vista 20P. Everything that I need from 1980 but just slightly newer. Even programming the sensors was something straight out of 1980. But it works. And every sensor works. And every zone works. No lost wifi signals... No dead batteries in sensors... Not a single problem (there was one). I had to add more boards to cover all of our zones wired in parallel and series. There is not enough room in the alarm panel for the extra boards? Weird. There is so much empty space under the main board. Adding extra boards is a complete afterthought and many people wire them outside of the locked alarm box and run wires in...that seems counterproductive to a security system...I removed the extra boards from the plastic cases they came in and CNCd some mounts for inside the box. Also got a DIN-rail and some Wagos. I can also add another board for wifi-internet-app access later but it will have to be mounted on the back of the door. The only thing that did not work, was a LiPo battery to use as a backup. I figured I updated the panel and rewired everything, I may as well add a fancy battery. As soon as I did that, the heatsink on the mainboard got uncomforatbly hot. 142 hardwired sensors, 4 smoke detectors, and 4 keypad panels and that thing was barely warm. Added a LiPo backup battery and that did it. Went back to the old one that I had for now. Panel comes with a new power supply and is straightforward to hookup and program. The average DIY person can tackle this. Do not be afraid.

> 3 dayThis product line is well established and is intended to be installed by a trained pro. Having a 20 year old VISTA 10S system that wasnt upgradable for any reasonable amount, and wanting to add on the EyesOn IP module, I bought one of these units to do the upgrade myself. Caution: I have a masters in computers, communications, and IP security - so I felt confident I could work my way through the upgrade. Heres what I did: 1) I went to the keypad of the old system and read off every setting the old system had in it to guide me with the new system, and compared that to the old systems settings. 2) I took the programming sheet for the new system and filled in what I could for the old system to make sure the new one would report to my current low-cost monitoring company. 3) I reviewed about four installation videos on Youtube - which proved key to actually making the system work 4) I mounted the new system board just above the old one within reach of all the wires. 5) I called monitoring company and put the system in test mode. 6) I powered the old system down, removing the battery first 7) I transferred the wires one terminal at a time (the terminals on both were the same) 8) I removed the old board and put the new board in the old mounting 9) I powered up the new board, then went to a keypad and programmed it (this is the hard part) 10) tested the system ofline 11) tested the system online with the alarm company Everything worked, and steps 5-11 took about three hours. It looks like the old system, acts like the old system, but now I can buy the upgrade modules.

> 3 dayIf you are going to do a hardwire alarm set-up this is a good place to start. Mine works well and has no issues.

> 3 dayAwesome! It was totally compatible with my wired Vista 10-SE sensors! You will need the compatible keypad(s), wired or wireless, to go with this! The programming side might be a little challenging for the non-technical (I am a professional engineer). The user manual could do with a little more explanation, but Ill let that go! Great quality and value package at a very reasonable price! Recommend the EVL 4 to get the system online and talking to your smartphone! I am a big advocate of self monitoring, been doing it for nearly 20 years now! This package was just perfect for my requirements!

> 3 dayArrived on time. The product worked great. I was worried that it might be flimsy per one other review. I was pleased with the steel thickness.
