My old book light, the AAA batteries corroded so I was in the market. This yellow light is working very well. It will definitely cast broad light like a magazine and the low light is plenty high for me. I look forward to using on airplanes as well as outside on our deck. The broad light is the best feature for me. One puzzle - the whole head is a simple off-on clicker, and it seems like it will easily click on and off in a briefcase or backpack. Also, it doesnt really fold up into any particular compact size. This arent killer problems but so far I give it a four. The company says this light is 35 lumens and 70 lumens. They also make a plug in amber light on a clamp, which has a lowest-option of 50 lumens, similar to this battery model. It also goes brighter.

Absolutely love this! My entire life. I’ve wondered why most reading lights are so bright and blue; I’ve always found them so jarring. My Hooga light is the opposite! It feels soothing and I love the three brightness settings. The intuitive click to turn it on and off is great late at night when my brain doesn’t want to have to find a specific button. (I’ve been using it also as a nightlight that’s so much less bright than my nightstand lamp — perfect for when my partner is already asleep and I’m trying to shuffle around with some visibility.)

I thought this would be a great product for my 14yo daughter to use reading in bed, but she refuses to use it because it gives off a chemical/plasticy smell and she does not feel safe. Kids being how they are, I kept pestering her to use it but she didnt explain to why she wasnt using it until AFTER the refund window had closed.

I love this little reading light. I have used it for three months now. Use it every day for at least a short time and often for a couple of hours. I find I only need to charge it once a month, and have never worn the battery down so might go for even longer. Love the light quality and readability. Very easy to clip onto any book, large or small, hardcover or paperback. . . . . Its sturdy, too. I have a hard time keeping it away from my granddaughter when she comes to visit. She is fascinated with the bendy neck and clicking the light on and off. She gives it quite a workout before I get it away from her, but the little light is completely unfazed. . . . Also works great instead of a flashlight or room lights if you wake up during the night.

Easy on the eyes in the evening. Does what I need—provides enough light to read my kindle. I’m trying to avoid blue light and bright light at night to help me sleep better. I think this light does that. You have to position the light just right to avoid glare but you get used to doing that. Photos show different brightness settings in dim room. When my light died after 7 months the company replaced it for me, very kindly!

The 3 adjustable non-blue light brightness levels are key here. Ive bought more attractive book lights but those with one brightness feature cant compete with this. It is lightweight and the book clip is good, if bland looking. I wish it came with a carrying bag or case.

This is perfect for those late night reads without the brightness of a regular reading light. Small and compact enough to take during travel.

I keep this little light clamps on my bed frame for reading and a night light. While the Orange is certainly nice for night-reading I find it to be a bit too Orange. Yes your eyes will adjust to it but its a very deep orange color. Cool little reading light works well for the price I wont complain. I would pay a little extra to have the ability to change color temperature, and maybe be a little brighter. But overall nice reading light. I left my light on all night on the number 2 setting and it was still on in the morning. I would imagine it lasts a good 8 plus hours.

Works great and much better than blue light fir helping a tween gifted reader with anxiety (especially at night)
