> 24 hourNice well priced laptop. The AMD Ryzen 5 processor is fast and a great value in this HP laptop. I compared processors before purchasing and this was by far the best value I could find. Screen is bright and the keyboard has a nice feel. I replaces my older 17 laptop which had an i5 processor and this is much faster with all day battery life.

> 24 hourWhat I like about this laptop is so light to take it with you anywhere around the house or even if you travel with it.

> 24 hourJust received this laptop. After disabling the (pita) MS login everything so far, seems ok. Was very disappointed to find out it does NOT have a backlit keyboard. I specifically put a filter on Amazon for that feature and this laptop showed up on their list. Be sure to look at the spec details when ordering anything. Apparently they show you items that dont actually filter your criteria so double-check the features you want. Its lightweight and will serve its purpose (hopefully), too soon to tell, but it seems like a nice mid-price range choice. Wish it had the lighted keyboard feature, but I guess thats the universe telling me I should only work during the day, so thats cool.

> 24 hourGood laptop overall except it has no ethernet port. Didnt realize it or I wouldve gone with a different laptop. Still would recommend if you dont need a port.

> 24 hourNot all that much to say about it. It is listed at a 4GHz CPU, but thats its overclock speed. If I had known that when I ordered, I wouldnt have ordered it.

> 24 hourThe fan is too loud, its loud even when idle. There is no reason for the fan to make so much noise. My Lenovo Flex 5 14 with a 4700u is much quieter. That even lets you select a fan option in the BIOS for a quieter fan. This has no such options.

> 24 hourProduct is absolutely terrible and no one should ever buy one. Not only was it completely choked by bloatware from the moment I recieved it which fought every attempt to either remove it or install any real security on the device but it almost immediately began having issues booting at all. The only reason I am writing this review is that I rediscovered the laptop while cleaning my office and decided to do my civic duty to inform the rest of the world not to waste a cent upon this worthless laptop.

> 24 hourI grabbed this laptop as a cheap machine for some light web use, but mostly programming. As soon as i received this machine, naturally my first step was to cure the SSD of the disease that is Windows and installing a linux distro, more specifically i chose Kali. Then began the headaches. To make what was literally 14ish into a very short story, installing the needed drivers for this machine was a terrible experience. Honestly, after all the time i spent troubleshooting, a part of me wanted to keep this laptop, until i read that some of the issues are fixes I would need to correct every new version of Kali. Pass. Congrats to hp however, they managed to make linux complicated before even cracking open the terminal. If youre looking to install linux on this machine, and running scripts from a dozen different git repos doesnt sound all that appetizing, i suggest you select one of the thousands other everyday-use laptops at a similar price point.
