> 3 dayI have been on the hunt for an inexpensive 1440p high refresh monitor for some time. When this popped up for $180 on the amazon treasure truck I snagged it without a second thought and I have zero regrets. 1440p has so much more real estate that 1080, and 27 is the sweet spot for this resolution in my opinion. And the high refresh is just so fluid from the standard 60hz monitors. Top it off with a nice IPS panel and backed by a name brand like HP and it is the best budget 1440p monitor hands down. Not to mention it included a nice stand with vertical movement and rotation, which is usually unheard of in this price range. My only complaint would be that is only has a single hdmi and single display port and no built in speakers, but that is very minor.

> 3 dayIts been few months now, so I can review this monitor. I got this for a bargain here. The color is perfect. No dead pixels. Laptop and Desktop detects this automatically. I certainly recommend this.

Greater than one weekThe buttons on the back are not in a good spot. The Monitor flickers in and out of display at times, however this could be an isolated incident. These things put off VERY high EMF RF frequency. Recommend 2ft away. The picture quality is top notch, I have a 4k Benq 27 monitor and these look better at 2k side by side, the color difference (for the better) is what stands out the most. A Competitive gaming edge is VERY noticeable with online shooters like, Halo, COD, Overwatch. I have a 32 and 27 If you want a gaming monitor, This is the best you can get for under $150.00. The next best is the Samsung G7 for 500.00. @4k and 120hz You can stop researching what to buy as this is one of the 2 options.

> 3 dayTheyve made a silent downgrade for this monitor: its no longer using LG panels. They now use BOE, which is a cut-rate panel with much worse quality control. Ive got it for a song, but Im starting to think that Im getting what Ive paid for.

> 3 dayFirstly, theres lots of discussion (for years) about this product having two variants. One has a panel made by LG and one BOE. Both are fine but are EXTREMELY small details. For the normal person it doesnt matter, but in sum, LG panel is better for office stuff and the BOE is better for games. It is a very very small difference and theres lots of testing to find on Google. I have the LG one. Good: colors out of the box are good, quality feeling stand, and vesa Bad: The stand somehow glides despite the 17kg monitor its holding, buttons are old, monitor itself is kinda cheap feeling/looking, you can only rotate the monitor one way, and you cant use the fastest response time without experiencing ghosting, and there is coil whine if you use HDR, but the HDR actually sucks as brightness doesnt go up, and local dimming is non-existent so black color on screen while youre in a dark zoom look eh. For 100-200 this is nearly perfect though. For that price range. Obviously more expensive stuff will close this out of the water. Just 100$ more can go a long way.

Greater than one weekBought this monitor for my daughter for casual 1440p gaming on Black Friday for $170. It’s a great deal! Overall I’d say it’s on par with my 27” Dell 2721DGF 165hz. Good: 1. HP’s color is vivid and rich. Image quality is better than Dell. 2. So far no IPS glow or corner bleeding. And no bad pixel. 3. Low latency and actual gaming response time seems good. Not feeling any slower than Dell. However, fast moving object (fps game) is not as clear as Dell. 4. Thin bezel - excellent for dual monitor setup. 5. Incredible value for an IPS panel at this price. Bad: 1. Build quality is average. The plastic bezel is not really straight if you look closely. The back panel is also cheap and flimsy. 2. Only one HDMI and one display port. No usb or usbc port And the display port comes with the monitor is short. 3. Power socket is slightly loose. I need to really push the cable connector all the way in to get power. 4. Does not work well with AMD image sharpening. Looks really bad even with 10% sharpening setting. 5. Free sync is not consistent. Experienced some stuttering from time to time. Never has this issue with Dell. I don’t use free sync often so not a big deal to me.

Greater than one weekThe monitor itself is fine, the included DisplayPort cable was not working however, and it took considerable time to figure it out, it was quite a headache. The idea of packing everything back and bringing the large box back to Amazon was not too attractive, had to buy another cable by myself.

> 3 dayThe monitor itself is great. Clear image, and very nice response times. Satisfied with my purchase with what I paid for it. However I was shipped a faulty power cable. Luckily I had a UPS, as using the power cable that was shipped in the box caused the circuit to short. The first time I tried to power the monitor on, it immediately shut my other monitor and PC off. I attempted to start the monitor again, with the same results. Used a different outlet on the same circuit, with the same result. I ended up using an old power cable from an unused TV and now it works with no issue. Overall the issue was a minimal fix for me. However I do not think every customer will be equipped for that situation, nor should they have to. Some bad QC as a faulty cable can cause some damage. Would have given this five stars otherwise.

> 3 dayI bought two of these monitors at $175 and they have been amazing so far. If you’re on the fence about making the leap from FHD to QHD, I am telling you take it. The quality feels so much better and the 165hz screen is so smooth. The only negative is that there are no speakers. Most gamers wear a headset though, so shouldn’t be much of an issue.
