My son loved it and it worked well

Confirmed compatible with the Valve Index, but mounting hardware is not included. Box contains literally just the sensor, and the power brick.

The first two I bought were fine for a week before one went out and the other one sounded like one of the sensors broke. Got it replaced and the same exact thing happen. Also, all four them do not match the boxes nor the back of the lighthouses. Also, yes thats how faded the lettering on the back is brand new. Im more then certain these are refurbished, and passed off as new. This is a scam, and someone should look into this more.

The base station itself is the exact same as the ones sold by Valve. That is not my issue. My issue is these are $50+ more expensive than the base stations sold by Valve on Steam. That wouldnt be that big of a deal if these base stations from HTC didnt also come with objectively worse accessories. Mounting hardware: Haha get screwed. You thought your $200 base stations would come with mounting hardware just like the $50 cheaper ones from Valve? Power cable: Not only is the cable that comes with these base stations sold by HTC significantly shorter than the ones sold by Valve, but it is also stiffer and does not hang nicely straight down the wall. The power brick is also much larger than the one Valve gives you. Overall: DO NOT BUY unless you absolutely cannot wait to get them from Valve. You will need to buy mounting hardware and have to deal with a shorter/uglier cable.

I only bought this because I was desperate for more stations, as steam was out of stock. know that the vive (this) version has no mounting hardware, and is 50 dollars more expensive for your trouble

Valve confirmed that this base station is dead. We have an Index and it gave us a warning that it wasn’t functioning. They used the serial number and found it broken. THIS IS RIDICULOUS: WITHIN 74 DAYS! It’s been on a pole anchored to the wall the entire time. No damage on our part, just randomly died. Our other two base stations have lasted since October of last year.

I ordered two of these base stations, the first one was broken the very moment I plugged it in. (Red light of death). Upon ordering a replacement, the same incident except the box that the second one came in was also terribly smashed. Which could be due to where it was shipped out from but still... I dont recommend buying a base station here unless youre desperate, but chances are you might receive a broken/malfunctioning base station more so then a perfectly functioning one. They also come with a short ugly cord, and no wall mount despite being a much higher price then from Valve.

This light house has a markup of $50 compared to the steam store light house, but at least I can order it lol. Also it doesnt come with mounting hardware which seems odd but a 3 pack of mounts is really cheap and I like them better than the mounting hardware that comes with the index.

The unit functions fine. The price is hefty by about 15% above the vomprtiyy tu ion but the competition had none in-stock

Now with wide-area tracking, base station 2.0 powers the presence and immersion of room-scale, virtual reality by helping the Vive Pro or Vive Pro eye headsets and Controllers track their exact locations. Features wireless syncing.
