HTC SteamVR Base Station 2.0

> 3 dayThese things are overpriced, anyway - they charge what they can get away with. If you can get them from Valve, do so - youll save fifty bucks, which is still a rip off, but less so. And while these are functionally the same as Valves, they dont come with mounting gear, and the power cord is insultingly short. But if youre desperate for some base stations, these are better than nothing. The problem is HTC seems to be counting on that.

> 3 dayValve confirmed that this base station is dead. We have an Index and it gave us a warning that it wasn’t functioning. They used the serial number and found it broken. THIS IS RIDICULOUS: WITHIN 74 DAYS! It’s been on a pole anchored to the wall the entire time. No damage on our part, just randomly died. Our other two base stations have lasted since October of last year.

> 3 dayBut the issue is that they do not last long. This is the second one Ive had to buy within a years time (replacing the first one I bought). Pretty expensive for something you have to keep replacing.

> 3 dayIt has same amber noise like the one come with my index box. I already get used to the noise The package doesnt include mounting which a bit disappointed. Power cable is even shorter than the one come with index.

> 3 dayI purchased one of these base stations to add to the two that came with my Valve Index kit. Having 3 base stations is a great way to make sure that you have good tracking no matter what direction you are looking in.

> 3 dayDoesnt come with any wires, the front of the station looks scratched up. i have 2 and they both came with everything. when asked for a refund, they told me that my refund would come back in 2-3 hours ( after turning into ups). that was a lie, told to wait 2 weeks. like what? even on Steam, buying the base stations, comes with the plug cord.

> 3 day50$ more for a shorter cable and no mounting hardware compared to the one directly sold from Valve.
