> 24 hourI have never in my whole life ever written a review on any product because I didn’t wanna become a Karen…but I think In this case I’d be saving people money, DO NOT buy these base stations I’ve bought two from this and BOTH have come in faulty straight out the box, out of the box I get them set up, mounted, and I plug them in, to my delight it goes from blue…to green…. But then to a slow blinking red, upon doing research I found that it’s an internal error and I gotta contact the company, so I do…but was given an issue and was never given a replacement (which from my understanding they’re suppose to do) , I would heavily consider where you spend your money because in my opinion this isn’t it

> 24 hourThis light house has a markup of $50 compared to the steam store light house, but at least I can order it lol. Also it doesnt come with mounting hardware which seems odd but a 3 pack of mounts is really cheap and I like them better than the mounting hardware that comes with the index.

> 24 hourNot sure if these are refurbished units because the original basestations that came with my Valve Index dont have this problem. Both of the basestations I purchased here off of amazon required a firmware update and both were bricked, refused to start again, after powering down after the update.

> 24 hourIf you have a valve index, remember how you get those nice mounting plates in the box? Yeah these dont have that. All you get is the brick and power. You have to buy your own mount. And these cost $50 more. But they work perfectly fine with steam VR with my original base stations.

> 24 hourSo yeah. It is more expensive and you get less than what Valve gives you. But it works and you can order it whenever. The 2.0 arrived after a week, which was sooner than the 2 weeks they suggested it would take. Ill take what I can get if Valve is out of stock.

> 24 hourIt was a choice between getting it here for $200 or from valve for $150 + weeks waiting. It just comes down to how much you value your time but its the exact same thing.

> 24 hourI wanted to buy two base stations for my VR setup in June but Valve was out of stock at the time. Amazon came through with these. If you set them up properly for standing or room experience, they work great. Key point, dont leave them on all the time. The lasers inside spin at extremely fast RPM and you will wear out the base stations over time. Thats very important. With bluetooth this is easy, but wired, you have to manually unplug the power to the base stations. I left mine on for two months and I felt like a complete imbecile. Thankfully, I only play VR games infrequently because Im busy. They still work fine, but Ill be monitoring them over time for stability and performance issues.
