If you need neatsfoot oil, this is some. I have no idea whether its higher or lower quality than other such oil. It did what I expect neatsfoot oil to do.

I use Huberd’s shoe grease and their neatsfoot oil on all my leather boots, they’ve been lasting for years and I never have wet feet problems in the winter! I’ll never switch!

I just got this old-timey looking can of oily goodness a couple weeks ago, and upon opening it, was shocked to turn around and find every single one of my leather shoes, boots, gloves, etc., lining up to do shots. Being the generous soul that I am, I proceeded to serve up the Huberds to the entire lot. Man, were they thirsty! One pair sucked down three shots in rapid succession and started screaming for more -- I had to shut em down. The others just quietly sipped away at whatever I gave them. Point here is all leather loves this stuff, especially if they havent been on a good oil binge for a while. The good news is that the hangover involved buttery softness, scratch removal and no suffering of my leather items. My brown leather got a bit darker, which I fully expected and actually wanted. If you dont want your items to darken, just dont use oil on them - duh. The great news? I still have tons more to use later on. Im glad I bought this stuff and would buy it again.

I bought this for my pair of Red Wings Iron Rangers (Amber harness color). I did quite a bit of research to find the right oil/dressing for these boots and this worked great. My boots were about a year old, I only wear them periodically - so I never felt the need to oil them until now. I cleaned the boots really well with warm water, and let them dry overnight. Then I applied this using a cotton cloth and liberally applied to my boots. At first it looks like the boots were soaked in water, but after I applied the oil, I let them dry overnight and they soaked up the oil and had a great finish. It WILL DARKEN - so be prepared, but after about a month, they continue to look good, the leather is soft, and still has a great color. This was the least expensive option I found for applying boot oil and highly recommend it.

This stuff reconditions leather and its easy to use. My mom tried it on her worn 700 dollar pumps and they looked about 90% better with about ten minutes worth of work and a second pass. Shes sold. Dont use it on white leather or suede.

Being an old foggy and sticking to things that I know work I went to get some of this at a shoe store and they tried to sell me a spray can of silicone shoe stuff. If I wanted that I would have asked for it. As it is Huberds Shoe Grease has been oiling loggers boots for a hundred years. Thankfully Amazon carries it

Forget weeks of agony breaking in Docs! After daily application to both the inside and outside of the boots, letting sit for a few hours, then wiping off. They were ready to wear in two days and it felt like I had already walked in them for months! Using this on Dr. Martens was game changing and I will do it from now on. The picture is very glossy, this was when it was applied. After wiping dry, I left it to soak in the rest, after soaked in fully it returns to a nice factory sheen once again.

Its curious stuff to work with, but really gives old leather new life.

Our leather dressing formula is created for softening, restoring and preserving leathers that do not need additional waterproofing or must remain breathable. Neat"s-foot oil has been used since the 18th century and is commonly used by people wanting an all natural product for their leather. It is also useful in art applications to prevent drying out of brush bristles and buildup of paint in the ferrule. It can also be used to protect wooden furniture. It can easily be removed without a solvent. Neat"s-foot oil is derived from bovine shin and feet bones that would normally be considered waste in that industry. It does not solidify at room temperature and should be applied with a cloth or brush at least once a year. Because it is an oil, it does have a mild waterproofing effect but for additional waterproofing see one of our other fine products. Not recommended for suede or white leather. May darken certain leather. 8 oz. Length: 1.5. Width: 5.25. Height: 2.88.
