> 24 hourQuality is excellent, speedy delivery. Ive been an avid audiophile and videophile spanning over four decades. My 5000+ record collection is benefiting immensely. My Linn turntalble, Akito arm and Linn cartridge already create a nice synergy. The missing link was the lack of a nice machined and heavy record weight. After using leather cement to bond the leather cut out to the base of the weight, placing it over the spindle in the perfectly centered hole. The weight of the clamp assures that the record bonds to the platter which resultantly lowers the noise floor. This opens the soundstage, and the inky black background created by this bond, allows the quiet higher register nuances of the recording to shine. Vast improvement to an already nice sounding table. Id always had clamps which, when purchasing my high end turntables from American turntable manufacturer, VPI. MY budget LINN rig is producing 90% of the high quality reproduction of treasured vinyl that Ive collected since 1967. 90?% of the quality I achieved with a budget table and it almost competes with a rig that retailed for 23k. Not bad at all. If you are like me and love the romanticism of kicking back in a dimly lit room and the record fills the dark room with music and you close your eyes and drift away along with the troubles we often find in modern life. Sheer bliss. Buy this clamp!

> 24 hourI mean, its a hunk of metal in the right shape to hold your record firmly against your turntable. What else is there to say. If you dont have one, and you listen to a lot of records, you should definitely have one.

> 24 hourThe sound of records is dependent on hardware. You can own a certain platter or expensive needle stylus. I estimate that an additional weight in the center of a record may help for 80% of my record collection (edit - I originally thought only 20% of my records would sound better). You can buy different platters, leather or rubber mats, or add records underneath the record youre playing, or whatever. Experiment! The weight helps for certain records, about 80% of my collection. It worsens the sound for the others. Its nice to have for that 80%.

> 24 hourDevice looks great, well made. That being said I cannot hear any difference and it certainly does not help warped disks. To take care of warped vinyl all you need is some weight, I use red bricks, to place on top of a stack of records for about 4 days and problem is solved. Vinyl is tough and plays like new. The idea isnt mine but from the web.

> 24 hourInexpensive as far as record weights go. Noticeable improvement in bass. Great with acrylic plate. Cons: I cannot use the dust cover while playing records any longer due to the height of the weight, which is probably not a great idea in he first place, but i have my reasons!
