It was alright, I really don’t like the sound though. The metal backboard results in an annoying twanging each time a key is pressed. Colors are nice but only customizable to an extent (which they mention in the description). Keyboard is overall fine and the price is cheap but the twanging would prevent me from getting another one of these ever again.

Im rating this keyboard at 2 stars because it didnt last more than 3 months. This review is for a white keyboard with Red switches. I also own one of these with Blue switches. What I really want does not exist, so this is a close second. Pros: Key face symbols are larger than normal and readible from a greater distance Brightly backlit so it can be seen in full light during daytime. Multiple backlight colors to suit your needs (including white which is what I wanted). Five brightness levels (picture is on highest setting). Mini layout design; i.e. no goofy numpad on the right side that nobody uses anymore. All keys are full size or larger, including arrow keys (which is a must). Wired USB connection with long cable. Red Cherry key switches so no loud clicking sounds and smooth presses (blue switches are loud). Column of page control keys on the right side of the keyboard. Cons: Non functional after less than 3 months of use Missing CTRL key on right side of Space bar. (Would prefer similar layout to SIIG 312, Perixx 407W, but neither of those are backlit). Not a big fan of mechnical switches in general, but Red switches are most tolerable for daily use. Dont like the gaps in between the function keys in the top row, but that is the traditional layout from 40 years ago. Misc: I wish the SIIG 312 came in white/silver with a backlight; I would buy 20 of them. My perfect keyboard wishlist... Last for several years, not just 3 months! Mini keyboard (no numpad on right side) Full size laptop key tops including arrow keys (seriously, whats up with the mini-arrow keys? = unusable for man hands) Membrane key mechanism like SiiG 312, i.e. not mechanical switches White/silver in color with high color contrast key labels Brightly backlit in white color (other colors are fine, but must have white) USB wired Page control keys on far right key column No gaps in the bottom row (space bar row) or top row (function key row) Such a keyboard does not exist. :( Maybe SIIG will read this and modify the almost perfect JK-US0312 to include white color with a backlight.

I purchased this keyboard about four months ago, as I was looking for a keyboard with a 75% layout and brown switches. In that time, three keys have had faulty presses and had to be replaced; luckily the keyboard comes with a switch remover and five spare switches to replace them with. Its good that they can be replaced, but Im worried more might break in the future. The switches are Outemu switches, by the way. About the backlighting - I dont use the backlighting much, but it has many colors and effects to choose from, and its definitely bright enough to make out. Pros: Solid/sturdy and thick detachable cable(but not braided) Trenches on the bottom to route the cable to the sides or directly ahead Compact 75% layout 5 extra switches and switch remover Cheap Cons: Questionable switch quality (three failures in four months) Ugly gamer font Some flex when pressing down hard in the middle No bumpers along edges to protect keys when stowed in bag

Pros: Size Back lighting Key stroke Key sound Looks Cons: Not really a con, but I wish the lighting could be customized, but thats just a small nitpik. Other thoughts: Great feeling keyboard, really like how its laid out. I didnt want to spend 100 plus for anther mechanical keyboard, so this one fits the bill. I hope it last. I would recommend A++++

Its a beautiful and perfectly nice keyboard except that occasionally a key will just ghost for no reason - the keycap is seated well, Im pressing the switch etc. Changing to heavier keycaps resolved the majority of this but I still very rarely encounter the issue, whereas on other mechanical keyboards Ive never had a ghosting issue. If you have a light touch like me and need absolute precision you may want to be sure to get this model with tactile/clicky switches and/or third-party keycaps to minimize any potential ghosting.

Overall I feel like this keyboard is designed nicely. I love how compact it is, while keeping essential keys (arrows, dlt, home, end, etc.). It felt really nice going from a full sized keyboard with a number pad to this one. Ergonomically, I just wish it was a little shorter (hurts a little to type for long periods of time) However, I have one major issue with it. My t key only registers about 75% of presses (I had to press it twice for this sentence). Sometimes the t registers a noticeable fraction of a second after I press it. Not sure if I have a defective unit or it just somehow stopped working a few weeks into having it. Ive had this keyboard for at least a couple months now.

Got this for my son, who is - of course - into all the gaming stuff right now and he loves it. He got it as part of his build your own PC. Its so easy to just unplug and plug into any computer, he uses it with his gaming system, his laptop, he moves it from one unit to the other without any hassle. It also has that loud clicking sound when you type that seems to be the thing with gamer kids right now. The white is nice and vibrant and the color changes are bright and look great. If your kid (or you..) is into this kind of thing, I would definitely recommend it for the price.

The device is illumination at keys operable. The style has a minimal parts aspect in an American wider market, of cheaper cost and quality, and not price cheap knock offs of bigger volume unit sales. The smaller number of keys is different. This keyboard forces the user of several different keyboards to developing keyboard gun for hire muscle memory adaptation capacity. This keyboard like recently other ordered are durable in the time I am used so far. Will advise as things happen. The keyboard along with others ordered arrived without damage and within estimated of delivery time.

I like the RGB on this; it has lots of different RGB effects. The color doesnt seem as crisp as on my Zalman keyboard or even my DIERYA keyboard, but its bright enough that it doesnt really matter. It has the perfect layout I needed on my desktop (the Zalman is too big, the other is missing dedicated function keys and a weird shift and /? layout). The brown switches are comfortable; they are box switches however so O-rings may be difficult to install. My only real gripe is a metallic pinging sound the keys make. It only happens when you bottom out on the keys so if youre a light typist it shouldnt be a big issue. I dont know whether its the springs or the keys hitting the backplate, but the sound is annoying. Im hoping putting O-rings on the switches will alleviate the issue, but if it doesnt I may return the keyboard if it grows too annoying. Sucks because otherwise its a really great keyboard.
