Greater than one weekIt fits will after using the hole saw to create the hole. I used some duct tape around the outer rim where it goes into the whole to create a more snug fit but not necessary, may just be my OCD. Only needed the one but for the price, should I need to replace or use on another desk have spares.

> 3 day2-inch grommets were a tad loose in a 2 diameter hole, but that can be easily resolved with a bit of tape -- Im OK with that. Actual exterior dimension of the throat of the grommet is 1-15/16. Top flange is 2-3/8 so it easily covers the hole at the surface. Material is plastic, although in black you cant tell. Body of the grommet is rigid and the flaps are nicely pliable. The 5-pack is a great value.

> 3 dayIf you already have a 2 3/8 hole saw or already have a hole that size, this product would be fantastic.

> 3 dayThese grommets are 2. I wanted them for wall conduits into a closet. I could not find a perfect PVC type pipe to fit them, but found a heavy round cardboard tube from the post office is perfect. A 2 doorknob saw is the perfect size to drill holes for these grommets. No more wires on the floor!

> 3 dayI just installed two on my work bench. They are exactly what I was hoping to receive. The flaps are soft and pliable. The insert itself feels like a different, harder plastic. You can definitely tell in the difference in texture. They look great. I did have to wrap the round insert with masking tape. My hole saw was cheap so it may have cut the hole larger. Regardless, with some tape they fit snug. It would take some effort to pull them out. I’m pretty happy with these.

Greater than one weekProduct seems to be well made. For those wondering, the outer circular housing is hard plastic on the sides and around the outer edges at the top. The center flaps of the grommet seem to be a thick and pretty stiff rubber. The outer housing does seem to be a bit smaller than stated (but not drastically smaller). Using a bead of silicon around the grommet solved the problem for me and works for my needs in a permanent install. Will order again should the need arise.
