In Time

not bad but some recordings cld hv been better

Raul Malo has one of the most wonderful voices out there, and the Mavericks are a great band - I have yet to see them in person (most recent pass by me would have cost $120 a ticket!!) so I just listen to this. I love most of the songs; one is pretty dark, which is different for the Mavericks, but overall, if you love the Mavericks and Malo, get this CD. Malo is muy bueno indeed!

Sounded like a Mexican band; not country; not my style. Every song sounded the same; no variety. If youre looking for country, this isnt for you.

So much to take in with this! If you like your country with raw talent, and some swagger, get. this. now.

great singer, like Roy Orbison, very cheerful music. The Mavericks must be great to see in person. Maybe they will come to NYC. to the Beacon Theater.

Its been around 10 years since we last had a record from The Mavericks, was it worth the wait? Absolutely. Genre defying as always, the album kicks off with Back In Your Arms Again, latin rythms and horns add flavor to a song that otherwise wouldnt have been out of place coming from Patsy Cline. In Time is full of upbeat danceable tracks, like: Dance In The Moonlight, As Long As Theres Loving Tonight and All Over Again Softer songs like Amsterdam Moon, In Anothers Arms, and Forgive Me are great and show off Raul Malos amazing voice. Thats Not My Name is undeniably cool and would be right at home on a Malt Shop Memories like compilation cd. (Call Me) When You Get To Heaven is definitely one of the highlights of the album, a slow, haunting epic that builds and builds until its climax at nearly eight and a half minutes. Ven Hacia Mi closes out the album, a spanish take on one of the albums finer tracks Come Unto Me In Time is an eclectic, fun, well paced listen. If you know this band already, you should already own this. If youre unfamiliar, this is a great place to start to learn of an amazing band whos still going just as, if not stronger than ever.

Raul pulled it together again. The album covers the bands entire spectrum of styles from country, rocknroll, latino, and blues.
