> 24 hourThese are indeed heavy-duty steel, with a black powder coating. Im using these for several projects, the first being to mount a post on which to install part of my home weather station (rain gauge and thermometer/hygrometer). For this lightweight application, the included hardware is fine. For an installation where safety is important like a railing, I might be inclined to upgrade the screws to something longer/thicker, but your mileage may vary. The sides of the holder have an attractive shape at the top if you are looking for something that looks less industrial than some of the others on the market.

> 24 hourThese are very nicely built. The welds look good and the powder coat looks even better. They are even the correct size for dimensional lumber. A dry treated 4x4 fits loosely which is a good thing. Most treated 4x4s are wet when you get them so they will be bigger and mostly likely be a tight fit. Similar products can cost as much for one post base as a 4 pack of these. If you are looking for a good surface post mount these are going to be hard to beat.

> 24 hourThese are hefty, solid post caps (bases?). I am deciding exactly what project I will use these for, but the thickness of the metal as well as the clean and well-spaced bolt holes will make these very durable for use Im sure.

> 24 hourInsaga 4x4 Post Base, Inner Size 3.6 x 3.6 are well made posts that have very good detail and look great. These add a bit of elegance to a deck or pergola. I measured inners of all 4 and all were within a fraction of each other. I test fitted some 4x4 lumber and most fit fairly easy. Some may require a little persuasion but see no issues.

> 24 hourI anchored these into concrete to use as strong light poles/ DIY pergola. They are very heavy and do not bend or flex at all which is very nice. 100% worth the extra money to get some this high- quality.

> 24 hourI am in the process of building a free-standing Pergola, and need something to hold the 4 main vertical posts secure to the ground (concrete, but apparently wood mounting works too). The local hardware store did have solutions, but the offerings were bland and very expensive - at least 25 dollars each. The post bases came with the required hardware to mount to a surface, and to secure the wood post to the base. The surface mount bolts will work great for concrete, but you will need to get another type of bolt/screw for wood deck mounting etc. The post bases are heavy duty, and make a nice base. The design provides a little bit of accent to your environment. The black surface seems heavy duty. For example, one base fell out of the package and in the rocks. Not a single scratch or marking. I also like the drain holes in the bottom of the base. My previous patio cover did not have these - and surprise - the bottom part has rotted over the years. Pretty simple and straight forward - high quality and visually appealing. Also cheaper than big box stores. Highly recommend!

> 24 hourThese are very heavy duty and should serve their purpose well. Nicely constructed, well finished (appear to be powder coated) and nicely decorated. Perfect for deck railing posts or similar projects.

> 24 hourThese post bases are super heavy. The design is just too beautiful. These are very sturdy and will certainly serve its purpose. The material is a thick and heavy metal that wont rust and decay. Great buy!
