04-06-2025Build Quality The 4x4 mounts are well made and have no defects. The paint covers the entire mount. The steel is thick, straight and strong. This meets my expectations and is a very strudy support for a 4x4 post. Installation These post mounts can be mounted to concrete using threaded rods easily. Once mounted 4x4 can be added and secured using securing screws using the provided holes. Use: There is a slight(appropriate) amount of space to insert a 4x4 with no need for a shim. Once secured and framed out they are very sturdy. Final thoughts: these are excellent 4x4 mounts that are thick , durable, precision made and they look great. I recommend them!

> 3 dayThese Insaga post base brackets are an incredible value! If you stop by your local big box store, you’ll find similar products where just one cost almost as much as this package of four. The quality is top notch... heavy duty... quality welds... nice black powder coat finish. Instead of the supplied screws, I used 2-1/2” Timberlok fasteners to attach the posts to the bases. The included screws would have probably done an acceptable job, but I am a “heavy-duty” type of guy. I doubt you can find post base brackets any better than these.

> 3 dayTBH I didnt really know what to expect when I ordered these. This sort of item tends to be pretty hit or miss when ordering online...unless you can hold them, its hard to tell how sturdy they feel and if Id feel confident in trusting them to brace the feet of a structure such as a pergola, which is my intended purpose for these. While I havent actually installed these yet (building of the pergola starts this summer), I was so impressed by the beefiness of these that I wanted to give a bit of reassurance to those who might be on the fence like I was (pun intended, especially if youre thinking of using these on a fence).

Greater than one weekIll be using these for a greenhouse/shed build. They are very heavy with thick metal and will work very well for the base support of my build. There is a nice decorative pattern on the top and the bottom has 4 large drainage holes to prevent rotting the wood beams. These are high quality and anchoring hardware is included.

> 3 dayThese are indeed heavy-duty steel, with a black powder coating. Im using these for several projects, the first being to mount a post on which to install part of my home weather station (rain gauge and thermometer/hygrometer). For this lightweight application, the included hardware is fine. For an installation where safety is important like a railing, I might be inclined to upgrade the screws to something longer/thicker, but your mileage may vary. The sides of the holder have an attractive shape at the top if you are looking for something that looks less industrial than some of the others on the market.

> 3 dayHusband used these to secure the legs of our railing at the bottom of the stairs to the ground floor deck. Made the job easy, and these keep the legs secure and no wobbling. Very pleased and will order more for future projects.

> 3 dayThese are incredibly strong and well made. I used one with a 4-inch diameter round wooden post for a cat scratching post and it worked great. The next two will be used for a 4-foot dog gate to block our dog run. Itll be two posts with cross-sections to block the dog on our side yard. These will make great post bases so the gate will side steadily on the cement, yet still be mobile to adjust the gate position. The point is that these allow your building imagination to run wild. These will add stability, strength, and weatherproofing to the base of your posts on any of your projects. The decoration on the sides of the post bases is a nice touch and adds some appeal. The 4x4 size description is accurate. I checked it with a tape measure. I fitted a 4x4 post inside and it fight tightly without wiggle room. I plan to use these bases for future temporary fencing projects (patio privacy fence, pool equipment enclosure, etc.).
