My first build with the 12th gen, so I went in with the intent of low cost. Paired with DDR4 on a modest MSI motherboard and cooled with the latest Noctua air cooler, I am impressed. Performance is a big step up from my 8700k in everything. Temps are very low, rarely going above 50C on the cores. In short, the 12600k is a great chip at a low price point.

Super powerful CPU at a sweet spot for a price. After reviewing CPU chart on Toms hardware, I purchased the core I512600K because its extremely fast and costs $100 to $200 less than comparable CPUs. I upgraded from a Intel core I5 9400 CPU and there was absolutely no comparison. This CPU smokes. Overall, Im very happy with the purchase.

I am upgrading from a 8700k so this chip isnt that big of an upgrade for me. Its fast, does what I need it to do. Out of the box no issues, no bent pins. CPU started up no issues

Be careful with what motherboard you get as some do not seem to support it’s overclocking as well as others so keep an eye out and do your research!

This is one of the best CPU for gaming and it’s deemed one of the best performance wise. It’s also worth the money spent on it one of the best for casual gaming being able to run 180 FPS on games such as COD (as long as the gpu is good as well) When installing however ensure you purchase thermal paste before proceeding to remove or install the CPU. There’s a metal piece on the side of where the CPU sits in make sure you lift up before trying to getting the CPU out. But all around this is good for how much you’re paying just be careful as it’s very fragile and one drop may make it’s no longer usable.

My setup right now is i5 12600k (from 6600k) and GTX 1070. I was on the fence of what to upgrade first my CPU or graphics card. I mainly use my PC for gaming so the convention is to focus on the graphics card but due to whats been going on I went for this instead and I beyond dont regret my decision I feel like a god. I did not realize how good my graphics card was and how much my old CPU was holding it back until now. Dont get me wrong 6600k is solid but I was losing my love for gaming over time and I thought it was just life but no.. it was because games did not run smoothly causing something of an unaware depression. Something like Tales of Arise can run on the highest graphic settings in 4k with this setup, just feels beautiful. Also have not reached even beyond 50% cpu usage yet. The highest was Vanguard but Call of Duty likes to abuse the cpu for some reason (like 32% on avg, compared to 100% and being unplayable on the lowest setting 1080p previously).
