Works like a charm, but gets a little hot under load. So get a decent cooling system

What can I say....... 5.15 ghz stable out of the box, I havent tried doing any manual overclocking yet. It runs a little hot, but thats more my cooling than anything. I will be upgrading soon. Other than that, installation was a breeze and Im very happy with my choice to go with the i7 over the i5.

Grande riuscita di Intel con questo i7 8700K, overcloccabile. Lo ho preferito addirittura alli9 7900X, sia per costi che per aver visto il benchmark delle prestazioni... e posso davvero dire che è una bomba di potenza, se settato bene, soprattutto con la scelta di una mobo appropriata...

Meh. I thought I could do an easy Intel upgrade on my B250M Pro-vd mb. Sadly, no. The MB claims i7, but caveats later, Im buyinga mobo. It would have been cheaper and more performant to go AMD.

A very powerful CPU that makes light work of all day to day and gaming tasks right out of the box. Fine for the average user although buying the 8700 non K might save some money.

Pros:

Blisteringly fast at stock, came from a 3770 though so that is expected, however do not scrimp on your cooler as this thing runs hot under load. Ive upgraded to a 360 AIO to rectify that as the hyper 212 is not good enough but a hyper 212 will do at stock and under medium loads where of course it will fine! This CPU is a beast.
