> 3 dayBe careful folks. Ive been using them for years. It worked. But their upgrades and installs are risky. Had this problem before, I just installed it on a new dell windows 10 computer. It crashed for no reason. On restart some loading program ran out of control, couldnt stop it. It used up all my CPU. Tried to un-install. No luck. There is no customer support either. Im rebuilding and looking for a replacement. Any ideas?

> 3 dayI run a Sony Vaio, i7, 64 bit, Windows 10. This software presented me with a black screen every morning, requiring a hard re-boot, after which my desktop was scrambled. Customer support was worse than useless, forwarding me a link that asked me to re-purchase the software that was two weeks old. I tried four times to re-set my password and received no response. When they finally sent an updated version, it was totally incompatible with the instructions for activating it. The software is a hassle and doesnt work; moreover, it does more harm than good. Customer service is inept.

> 3 dayIve been a long time user of Iolo products. System Mechanic Pro is a decent tool. However, their latest software offering has been, at least for me, an extreme disappointment in that I cannot get ANY support for software bought and paid for but which refuses to accept the licensing supplied at time of purchase. Understanding that problems do occur at times, I cannot understand their lack of response to repeated requests for help. It is particularly baffling in view of the fact THEY assigned a case number to my initial request for help. Difficult to recommend a company that refuses to stand behind their products.

Greater than one weekI do not normally bother writing reviews about products. If they dont work or customer service is poor I just cancel and never buy them again. IOLO has pissed me off enough to actually spend the time to give them a negative review. I strongly recommend avoidance of any and all IOLO products and services. IOLO is extremely aggressive in their marketing and up selling efforts. When I attempted to renew my one year subscription I had a very difficult time getting the deal they were promising me. Every time I contacted customer service I was on hold for an extended period of time and had to argue with the customer service rep to stop trying to upsell me. A month after I renewed I received an email indicating I had signed up for their tech support service which I did not want. There was no online option to cancel so I had to go through customer service and again argue with them to cancel the order they generated and stop the upsell script. Regardless of the marginally effectiveness of their product I will not be renewing with IOLO ever again.
