I have this on the side of my snakes terrarium because although some ball pythons burrow, my girl does not. Regardless, it works great and is serving its purpose. I have hooked up to the Century Digital Heat Map Thermostat Controller and it keeps it warm enough but I wish it was a bit warmer. The mat itself stays hot but the thermostats sometimes drops below what I set it to. My only complaint is the adhesive on the mat, it unsticks a bit where the cord comes out and since mine is placed on the side it starts to droop downwards because, well, gravity. Other than that, 5 stars. For reference my girl is about 3.5 feet, in a 40 gallon tank. I purchased the 8x12 inch 16 watt heat mat

Stays on until I plug it in and it heats up. From day one it only falls off. The one I had before from another company I had for years before it started falling off this one is not as sticky as my old one was. I will be returning it and will probably get one from someone else

Good heat. Didn’t read the description completely. Didn’t realize it is adhesive. I like a mobile heat pad, so I haven’t used the adhesive part yet. Came in handy though. Used it on new born puppies in an ice storm. Used it on an orphaned hours old baby goat. Perfect. Now it’s going under my cockroach colony to keep them happy and warm so they can reproduce as feeder insects. Best use of a reptile heat pad ever! I don’t even have reptiles!

Product was delivered to me exactly one month ago 6/6 and I need it for my Cornsnakes set up as his old UTH stopped working. I should’ve listened to the reviews saying not to purchase but I did anyways. Well here we are a month later I wake up and see that the pad is on the floor no longer connected to his tank and it’s all because the adhesive detached from the pad! I kept trying to reattach the adhesive back to the pad by slapping the heater against the adhesive which was still stuck to the tank well that worked for 30 seconds because the pad would fall right back off again. Also can’t return it because after two weeks I recycled the manufacturer cardboard it came with so there’s no way for me to get a refund. Waste of money!

I bought this for its intended purpose, heating a vivarium. Within a week the glue failed, leaving the sticky pad on the tank but the heating pad on the floor. Well see if the replacement is any better, Im not holding my breath.

Used for less than a month and the heating pad bloaded up and poped off the bottom of my snakes tank. I dont trust that the unit will not combust now that it is damaged, so I can no longer use it.

Sticks on well and is easy to install. Unfortunately, it does not get anywhere near warm enough. Just woke up and checked the floor temperature on the warm side of my new leopard geckos tank after turning off the overhead heating element for the night and it was only 75 degrees! Not good.
