Do not bother with this heater. It puts out so little heat, it’s worthless.

I noticed my snake moved her cave away from the heat pad area. So I moved it back. Several times till I put my hand on the bottom of the tank where she would lay. I couldn’t keep it there long. This pad is far too hot. So I have un stuck it from the tank, and hope the air space will provide the difference to make the right heat. We will see. Very disappointed. If my snake had of gotten under the tank surface she would have cooked.

This terrarium heat pad and thermostat combo works but not the way I expected. I have never used a heat pad with a thermostat before. I got this one because the thermostat is digital, thinking I could precisely dial into the best temperature for my gecko... But, no. I have the thermostat set to 90°F for the hot side however the thermostat only ever reads between 83°F to 86°F. My gecko is doing fine so Im not too worried, but I wanted to point out that not once has the thermostat actually hit 90°F based on the thermostat sensor. I used a separate infrared thermometer gun to measure the temperature, and it showed 92.2°F while the thermostat said 84.9°F. I see my gecko going back and forth between the hot and the cool side of his hide so it appears it is plenty hot enough, if not too hot. Im thinking the thermostats temperature sensor is likely inaccurate or not sensitive enough. Furthermore, I had to get the first thermostat replaced after a week. It was making a high pitched electronic hissing sound that I could not stand. The second one shipped quickly and does not make that sound but the sensor on both operated similarly. I set both at 90°F, and daily temp readings were 86°F at the highest while my infrared thermometer got much higher readings. Im fine with the product as long as my gecko is happy and healthy. But Im definitely docking stars for accuracy.

I have a 3 month old Corn Snake Inside a 10 gallon tank. The heat pad hasn’t fallen off & provides good heat through out the night. The cord looks stronger than other brands & overall good design. Used other brands before.

My hermit crabs LOVE this warming pad! I stuck on the side of the tank & they’re always burrowed near it! It keeps their crabitat nice & cozy!
