> 3 dayIf youre in need of a sturdy table-top easel, I highly recommend this. Ive been looking for an adjustable table-top easel--one that isnt flimsy, one that easily converts from an upright angle to laying flat and anywhere in between--and this meets all my needs! And at about half the price of similar easels Ive found at art supply places. Ive gotten used to finding shoddy quality products through Amazon, so I was pleasantly surprised to find someone still offers solid quality craftsmanship at a reasonable price. It is a well-thought out easel design. This easel is built to last. It arrived quickly. It was packaged well in 3 main pieces and easy directions to quickly assemble (all you need is a phillips screwdriver). It has comfortable knobs you easily loosen/tighten to get desired angle (no metal wingnuts!) It easily supports my plywood board on which I stretch my watercolor paper.

> 3 dayIf your reading this your more than likely looking for an easel. I just got this one 4 days ago and Ive already used it for 2 paintings.... I absolutely love it. I am going to buy one for my wife also. It is very solid and sturdy. You can adjust it to huge canvases or small ones. I just used it for 18x24 canvas. If you read reviews to help you decide then trust me this is the one.

> 3 dayThe width that holds the canvas is about 21, not sure where they are measuring 18 from...leaning against the wall on the floor completely closed it is about 29 high by 6.5 deep. The wood is sturdy no doubt, looks good, no chips or cracks, quality is good, did have a few slivered top pieces of wood splinter off so I glued it. The knobs do tighten and work well. This to me looks as big and heavy as a standard H frame with basically the legs cut off to look shorter to fit on your table. All the girth of a standard H frame being shorter. I have a regular H frame, and I think this is just as big and heavy without the height. If you put this on a table, the bottom will not drop down, you can adjust it up no problem. Pull the top up, where it feels sturdy I feel about a 38 maximum height for a canvas. You could easily put a 24x30 on here and I think it would be pretty sturdy. I would use this for average 16x20 or above, maybe down to an 11x14. If you regularly paint in smaller than that size I would look for a smaller easel myself, this to me seems pretty heavy , not really for say pulling out to set on a dining room table or for a simple desk, this is more for a studio. If you compared to say some of the standard tabletop easels with the little side drawer, this would be considered XL. I do think this is great for people who need something real sturdy, who have a big enough table to accommodate a 21 width, plus a place to set paint and brushes, tools.... I think like others, this would last and hold up for many years.

> 3 dayIve replaced my old stand up easel with this one. Ive put it on top of a small drawer unit, so I get a better easel plus art supply storage and can still stand to paint!

> 3 dayThis is for the Jack Richeson Lyptus Wood table easel, Model 844200. I researched thoroughly and I certainly made the right choice with this one. I was hesitant because of the price, as there are so many other highly rated items for much less, but many of the easels that are highly rated are used only for display purposes and are not adjustable. My needs included a solid structure to grasp and support a paint board/canvas during painting, an easel that was scalable/adjustable, and something to work on a tabletop. Specs: I researched across multiple sites for information as the information seemed incomplete or conflicting in places so I am including details. In measuring the one I received and have assembled, it will adjust to securely hold a board/canvas as large as 42 inches tall, or as small as 1 (achieved by raising the bottom support up). Additionally it will adjust to hold the canvas up to a 90 degree angle, or can lie completely flat. I prefer the easy grip knobs this has over wingnuts. The assembly pack and instructions were attached to the shrink-wrap holding the frame pieces together. It was fairly easy to assemble, with a screwdriver required in a few places. A few times I did have to study the pictures and ignore the assembly text, particularly on the adjustable bottom support, but the pieces are well made and the holes do line up properly. My only unfavorable feedback at all is that the feet on the base are made of hard rubber and can scoot easily when on a slick surface, but this can be easily remedied by using the right thing beneath it. Overall Im really really pleased with this item.
