> 3 dayIts hard to find this kind of value. I actually sold the S801s that come in the package for $100 here locally in classifieds. So I got 3 pieces for basically $150 with tax. Thats hard to beat. This set along with the Jamo C910 subwoofer is outstanding. Looks great, Sounds Great and its dirt cheap. hard to beat this setup.

> 3 dayCant believe the sound that come out of this system. Sometimes I need to check to see if the sub is on (Jamo S810). Watched Phantom of the Opera 25 Year Concert yesterday and forgot this was a sub $250 system. Looks great in white. Do they match my brothers Definitives? No. Didnt cost as much either. Should definitely consider this for first timers or low cost home theater.

> 3 dayPoured over reviews and kept finding that pro-audiophiles kept slaming them, but the majority of regular people like them. Here is what I discovered about myself in the process. I definitely am not an audiophile. I wanted to be, but they like terms like flat frequency response and neutral. Guess what? Thats a boring speaker for most of us. They say it has a V curve. Guess what, thats how most of us used to make our equalizer look. Just cranking the treble and bass control (or knob) like a lot of us do, creates what?- a V curve. They just did it for us. If youre a genuine audiophile, you may not like these, but if youre not, as most of us arent, please understand that just because they dont like something, doesnt mean you wont because you probably have different tastes- and thats not a bad thing. As far as the speakers, they sound great and look good. Definitely need a sub (I bought 2 S808s at just over 100 each). I like bright sounding speakers because in a home theater setup, it helps to hear nauances in the sound track (i.e. crickets chirping, wind and rain, etc.) which helps to bring me more into the content. Also, the audiophiles were correct in saying these have wide soundstage, which were noticbly better than any of my previous speakers. For the sale price, these were an amazing deal for what you get. They were good with music as well. Hear is an easy test to see if you like flat and neutral speakers or not. If you have a good AV reciever (or you can audition at a friends or a store) with a good set of audiophile speakers- set the reviever to something like pure direct or equivelant where the reciever shuts off any sound processing and tone controls. If youre not impressed and prefer the music with the processing and tone controls back on, then you dont want neutral sounding speakers.

> 3 dayIf youre even slightly interested, and if theyre still half off, just go for it, definitely worth every penny at $230 for the set. The only downside is that they do start to fall apart at high volumes, not the 803s quite so much but the center and especially the surrounds cant handle high spls or any bass at all. For a moderate surround setup its worth it and youre getting a really great pair of speakers in the 803s that are basically worth the $230 on their own. I hooked them up to my onkyo surround receiver and Im pretty impressed with them as a full set, but when I hooked up the 803s to my ps audio sprout 100, it definitely brought out some level of detail and soundstage that I just dont think should come from such a basic pair of speakers. I dont know if Ive even had a chance to fully break them in yet so I assume itll only get better too, good stuff.

> 3 dayUsing these in a 5.1 system through a Marantz 1510. I find the sound to be a bit bassier then I prefer it, but to each his own. The center speaker is also a little muffy at the 2.5 range, which is weird since that exactly what its supposed to be projecting... I had to turn off Audyssey, and do manual EQ, boosting the center speaker up 3db to get clear vocals. Perhaps I just have a dud center speaker, but I found this to be uncharacteristic for a center speaker sold as part of a 5.1 system. With that said, I have no complaints about the rest of the setup, and as affordable as these are vs sound quality, I would buy them again. Perhaps just with a different center speaker.

> 3 dayI have a 400 sqft theater room and these do the trick. For the money, I don’t know if you could beat them. Definitely recommend for a first time theater room.

Greater than one weekSound quality: 5/5 This Is my first entry into hifi speakers and I never knew what I was missing out on. I only have the font and center speakers set up at this moment and the quality difference is easily noticeable. I am not an audiophile so I cant point out any specific flaws in the sound but I cannot go back to using TV speakers anymore. There are a few reviews that say the center speaker could be better but I didnt feel a need to spend more money to upgrade it. Value wise you would be better off spending the extra money to add a subwoofer to this kit. Packaging: 5/5 - I was quite surprised at how well packaged the speakers were. Each speaker had plastic wrap and the Styrofoam padding was very sturdy and I dont see how the speakers could move/get damaged during transit. I didnt see any scratches at all on any of the speakers. The outer cardboard was also very thick compared to other electronic boxes. Excellent job Jamo. Value for Money: 10/5 For the price of $183, I dont know if there is any better deal for 5 speaker setup. In current times (2022) when inflation is hitting almost every item, I am glad to find a quality speaker setup for under $200. I loved these so much I just purchased the Jamo 12 inch subwoofer that was price reduced to $163. I will update this review once I connect the subwoofer.
