12-06-2025Base is deep and rich. Highs are clear, but the kids are dull and muted. This is definitely a v shaped sound. Great 5.1 system for movies but you lose some dynamics listening to music. Overall, fantastic speakers for the money. Just wish there was a little more mid.

> 3 dayThis set is an amazing value. Very happy with how these sound, stage, and image. Ive been an audiophile for 30 years and dont give recommendations lightly. Unless you get a deal in the used market, youd be hard pressed to find better at this price point. Somewhat U shaped sounding but are opening up nicely as they break in. Full and rich. If you listen to jazz, rock or classical. You probably dont need a sub. Bass heavy music, a different story. But these get pretty low and manage to stay in control. Oh and they look like much more expensive speakers. Originally got these for my girl, but Im keeping the 803s for myself....:)

Greater than one weekThe price for this small 5 speaker set cannot be beat for the quality of sound. I immediately recommended this to friends and family if they were in the market for a sound system.

> 3 dayMaybe some of you are rich bachelors with 5,000 sq/ft mansions, if so go get your $2,000 monster speakers with a $3,000 receiver to match. The rest of us will LOVE this speaker set (paired with a nice $620 Yamaha receiver from Costco). This replaces a 16-year old surround sound system. The back channel speakers are phenomenal and the fronts blow away our movie watching and sports. The center channel was called “too small” in some reviews, but in my 9’ by 13’ sunroom/media room it is perfect and we get to skip the sub-titles now! We like the white cabinets and wood accents so we left the grey grills off. Either look you choose, you won’t be disappointed by the sound of these quality (yet affordable) speakers!

Greater than one weekUsing these in a 5.1 system through a Marantz 1510. I find the sound to be a bit bassier then I prefer it, but to each his own. The center speaker is also a little muffy at the 2.5 range, which is weird since that exactly what its supposed to be projecting... I had to turn off Audyssey, and do manual EQ, boosting the center speaker up 3db to get clear vocals. Perhaps I just have a dud center speaker, but I found this to be uncharacteristic for a center speaker sold as part of a 5.1 system. With that said, I have no complaints about the rest of the setup, and as affordable as these are vs sound quality, I would buy them again. Perhaps just with a different center speaker.

> 3 dayI recently purchased a nice used 7.2 receiver and wanted to change my soundbar setup at home, so after doing some research, they had excellent reviews here on Amazon and on Youtube, so I decided to check them out. Boy, was it a treat to listen to them the first time I plugged them into my Onkyo receiver. I paired them with my SVS subwoofer which made listening to music like a dream. The sound does have a V shaped sound which is fine because I can always adjust it. The only downside In my opinion is the Center Channel. I would have paid a little more if they replaced the center channel with their bigger version. I will probably upgrade the center channel in the future. Overall, Im very pleased with these speakers!

> 3 daySound quality: 5/5 This Is my first entry into hifi speakers and I never knew what I was missing out on. I only have the font and center speakers set up at this moment and the quality difference is easily noticeable. I am not an audiophile so I cant point out any specific flaws in the sound but I cannot go back to using TV speakers anymore. There are a few reviews that say the center speaker could be better but I didnt feel a need to spend more money to upgrade it. Value wise you would be better off spending the extra money to add a subwoofer to this kit. Packaging: 5/5 - I was quite surprised at how well packaged the speakers were. Each speaker had plastic wrap and the Styrofoam padding was very sturdy and I dont see how the speakers could move/get damaged during transit. I didnt see any scratches at all on any of the speakers. The outer cardboard was also very thick compared to other electronic boxes. Excellent job Jamo. Value for Money: 10/5 For the price of $183, I dont know if there is any better deal for 5 speaker setup. In current times (2022) when inflation is hitting almost every item, I am glad to find a quality speaker setup for under $200. I loved these so much I just purchased the Jamo 12 inch subwoofer that was price reduced to $163. I will update this review once I connect the subwoofer.
