> 3 daySound quality: 5/5 This Is my first entry into hifi speakers and I never knew what I was missing out on. I only have the font and center speakers set up at this moment and the quality difference is easily noticeable. I am not an audiophile so I cant point out any specific flaws in the sound but I cannot go back to using TV speakers anymore. There are a few reviews that say the center speaker could be better but I didnt feel a need to spend more money to upgrade it. Value wise you would be better off spending the extra money to add a subwoofer to this kit. Packaging: 5/5 - I was quite surprised at how well packaged the speakers were. Each speaker had plastic wrap and the Styrofoam padding was very sturdy and I dont see how the speakers could move/get damaged during transit. I didnt see any scratches at all on any of the speakers. The outer cardboard was also very thick compared to other electronic boxes. Excellent job Jamo. Value for Money: 10/5 For the price of $183, I dont know if there is any better deal for 5 speaker setup. In current times (2022) when inflation is hitting almost every item, I am glad to find a quality speaker setup for under $200. I loved these so much I just purchased the Jamo 12 inch subwoofer that was price reduced to $163. I will update this review once I connect the subwoofer.

> 3 dayI cant believe the sound of these speakers. Paired with a 12 inch sub powered by an Onkyo receiver. Sounds like an imax theater. Very pleased!

> 3 day(After a few hours of burn-in on just two front S 803 speakers only) I find the front set of speakers well balanced and surprisingly full sounding. No apparent distortion upto 100 dB SPL but you get ear fatigue pretty fast at high volume levels, probably due to some frequency spikes or not-so apparent clipping somewhere. For the price, it really is a bargain. Above average imaging/sound stage compared to bigger floor standing speakers IMO and nicely balanced sound signature/tuning make the front set an easy recommend, center and back channel set are nice bonus on top. No wonder these are highly recommended by@cheapaudioman. I would say you will get better resolution, instrument separation, sound stage depth, less fatigue with better set but at a much higher budget, plus much louder volume.

> 3 dayThese are absolutely awesome. Im running a Denon receiver and a Klipsch sub with these. I must say, I didnt have the subwoofer on initially (my dumb butt didnt turn it on) and my wife commented how awesome the music was, lots of bass. Then I turned on the sub... probably not necessary but definitely adds some punch to the bottom end. My point.... these are fantastic on their own (Im a little snobby about sound - on a small budget of course so I definitely recommend a sub). I put the magnetic grills on and my wife (not into tech at all) told me to take them off and they look beautiful. The take away - They look super cool and sound great.

Greater than one weekFor me, these Jamo speakers are the best overall budget speakers. They dont lack bass and soundstage is present. Better than the lower-end Klipsch, that matches on costs. The cabinet build is meh, so make sure to handle with care.

> 3 dayI tested many genres and formats on this set and the sound is pretty damn good. Awesome Clarity, balance, and depth is what I hear when I push these without a sub and play the Phantom Thread soundtrack. Truly a great deal for the quality.

Greater than one weekPoured over reviews and kept finding that pro-audiophiles kept slaming them, but the majority of regular people like them. Here is what I discovered about myself in the process. I definitely am not an audiophile. I wanted to be, but they like terms like flat frequency response and neutral. Guess what? Thats a boring speaker for most of us. They say it has a V curve. Guess what, thats how most of us used to make our equalizer look. Just cranking the treble and bass control (or knob) like a lot of us do, creates what?- a V curve. They just did it for us. If youre a genuine audiophile, you may not like these, but if youre not, as most of us arent, please understand that just because they dont like something, doesnt mean you wont because you probably have different tastes- and thats not a bad thing. As far as the speakers, they sound great and look good. Definitely need a sub (I bought 2 S808s at just over 100 each). I like bright sounding speakers because in a home theater setup, it helps to hear nauances in the sound track (i.e. crickets chirping, wind and rain, etc.) which helps to bring me more into the content. Also, the audiophiles were correct in saying these have wide soundstage, which were noticbly better than any of my previous speakers. For the sale price, these were an amazing deal for what you get. They were good with music as well. Hear is an easy test to see if you like flat and neutral speakers or not. If you have a good AV reciever (or you can audition at a friends or a store) with a good set of audiophile speakers- set the reviever to something like pure direct or equivelant where the reciever shuts off any sound processing and tone controls. If youre not impressed and prefer the music with the processing and tone controls back on, then you dont want neutral sounding speakers.

Greater than one weekI consider myself a “budget” audiophile, and for the money spent here, I can’t imagine getting a better sound. Sure, they don’t come with a subwoofer, or the Atmos modules but it’s still excellent value. I ordered the white ones which arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. I separately ordered the Atmos modules from another vendor. By mistake, the seller on Amazon sent me a 8” Jamo subwoofer instead of the 5.0 speaker kit at first but Amazon shipped out the correct speakers the following day after I inquired. Even though I had planned to use a larger subwoofer, I decided to try the Jamo subwoofer since it was a free return anyway. In the small man-cave I have this system setup in, I’m more than happy with the overall performance of the entire system and will be contacting Amazon again to arrange keeping the subwoofer. One thing to note is that I originally intended to use this system to replace my Pioneer Andrew Jones speakers in our living room but these Jamo speakers did not sound as good on the Pioneer Elite receiver. Once I moved them into my man-cave and connected them to my smaller Marantz, they sounded much better. These speakers do have a v-curve frequency range which is not my preference but with movies, powered by my Marantz receiver, they do sound great. I’m very happy with them, especially considering I’m all in on 8 great sounding speakers for under $500.
