The JBL boombox 2 is an excellent speaker. The JBL extreme 3 has a more rounded tone. The base is the same. The treble is the same. I just play them loud enough to drown out my neighbors stereos. I connect them for watching movies. Excellent sound. The JBL Go 2. Its nice but it doesnt have the base. And it doesnt have the party feature to connect with the JBL boombox 2 or extreme 3. I use it with my tablet.

Ive had the speaker for a few months now and its holding up pretty good. The sound quality is great but for a speaker its size the battery life is lackluster. I can get on average 8h-10h of music play for a full charge and thats without using the boombox to charge my phone. If you can get it on sale I think its a good choice but I would not pay full price for it.

We heard this speaker on the beach on vacation - guy couldnt rave enough about it - so we bought one, as we didnt have a good quality outdoor speaker any longer - it has been WONDERFUL! weve thouroughly enjoyed it!

As far as JBL products go, My only experience is with the Flip4. But hands down, it WAS my favorite bluetooth speaker, albeit modest, but sounded fantastic for it’s small size and was plenty loud enough for indoors listening at home.

I purchased the JBL Boombox in December 2020 as a Christmas gift. It lasted about 8 months and then would no longer charge. I contacted JBL and did some trouble shooting. The box was the problem not the charging cord so they agreed to replace it. The replacement they sent was the Boombox 2. This box lasted almost 9 months, but now one of the ends shakes violently when in use. I contact JBL and was told the replacement had no warranty, it reverts to my original purchase. The sound is great when they work and the portability is a nice feature. We never used outside or in water so I cannot speak to that aspect. I just think for the money, it should last longer than 8-9 months of light indoor use.

ABSOLUTLEY FANTASTIC PORTABLE SPEAKER!!!! I AM WOTHOUT A DOUBT PURCHASING AT LEAST ONE MORE! You will not regret this buy! 24 hours without having to charge it with moderate use and I got no less than 15 hours of straight full blast usage out of it before I had to charge! Bass is great! Sound is great and its TOUGH! I love this thing!!

Actually bought a second one for pairing them together for a big canoe trip a group of us do. This was just amazing, the new technology allows for them to be sooooo far apart and still connected, I’m talking we were over 100 yards apart and still thumping. Sound carried amazingly outdoors and on the lakes and rivers. Them being on full blast lasted about 8 hours, so I do think 24 hours is achievable at lower volumes. Overall amazing speaker and getting two is a game changer. The ability to connect two phones to one is also amazing, on person pushes play and it pauses the other phone.
