> 3 dayA while back I got the book How to Hot Rod Your Fender Amp. In it, it says that the recent(90s and up)Fender Blues Deluxe and Hotrod Deluxe amps can be modded to take high power 6V6s made by JJ and Electro Harmonix. My stock Blues Deluxe amp was 40 watts and was running the tubes biased cold from the factory to make the tubes last a long time. The problem is running them cold makes the amp kind of sterile and unpushed. I had these installed and the amp biased correctly for them and my amp became much more touch sensitive at higher volumes. The Blues Deluxes preamp is based on a tweed Fender Bassman so to me I have a Bassman running into a Deluxe output stage. I changed the stock speaker to a Celestion Vintage 30 and the amp is much nicer on stage. These tubes have shown no signs of any problems; not glowing red or anything and I think it was a very good mod. Im guessing its about 22 watts now and is plenty loud for any indoor gig. The Celestion will handle 60 watts so should be safe from being blown out by the amps much lower wattage so I dont mind turning it up a little more.

> 3 dayI recently acquired a 1965 Fender Deluxe Amp. After going thru and thouroly cleaning, I noticed one of the output tubes, 6v6, was visibly blown. So, I started researching replacement tubes online at all of the music outlets. Then, for some reason, I happened to search AMAZON and was happily surprised that they carry all sorts or tubes and musical gear! Ive read all kinds of mixed reviews about all the tube brands, including the JJs... Then I discovered that, like guitar strings, there are only a few manufacturers of vacum tubes left in the world... The price was right on the JJs so I gave them a shot. All I can say is, all of the hype Ive heard all of my 30+ years of being a professional guitarist, about there is nothing like playing thru a 65 Fender Deluxe... Was all very true!! I installed the JJs, plugged the old girl in, and was and still amazed at the most awesome guitar tone Ive ever played thru! Getting that tube tone is no problem for me with all of the great Line 6 and other emulation technology amps on the market, But, nothing can compare to the FEEL of playing thru tubes! The JJs work and sound great!! Also, at an affordable price.

> 3 dayI bought these tubes for my Hot Rod Deville (4x10). They sound great in the amp but are a lot more quite than the original tubes (Groove Tubes). I will say its great because I turn get it to break up at a much lower volume and get that tube tone Im looking for without being way too loud (although it still gets plenty loud). Also these are not the technical tubes that should go in the amp. Technically my understanding is they hsould be 6L6GC tubes but these work and sounds great!

> 3 dayGot these to replace the old tubes in my Egnator Rebel 30 and brought it back to life. My old tubes were rattling bad and these are much better, they dont seem to rattle much at all. I also got the EL84s and 12AX7s from JJs too, Huge fan.

> 3 dayI replaced the tubes in my Tweaker a few months back but everything I tried was microphonic and extremely noisy. Then I did some research. I have an early model Tweaker which runs a lot of current through its power tubes. Bruce Egnater himself recommended JJ 6v6s for reliability, and I can understand why. As soon as I put these in my problems disappeared.
