JJ Electronics Amplifier Tube (T-6V6-S-JJ-MP)

When I ordered my Super Champ X2 about a year or two so ago, it sounded good, but the preamp tube was causing terrible rattling noises when I played notes on the low E string on the first, second and third frets. It sort of dampered my enjoyment of the amp even though I used it a good bit, but when I got these tubes along with a 12ax7 preamp from JJ Electronics, the Super Champ X2 seemed like to be whole new beast. I switched the tubes and biased them, so 20 volts were going through each of these JJ tubes since the stock tubes were running cold. The minute I plugged in my guitar, turned the amp on and started playing, I fell in love. The sound was the signature Fender clean I heard in my favorite tracks, and the sound was infinitely better than how it was before. The rattle was gone, the tubes ran hotter and the amp sounded bigger and better than it used to. I expected maybe a slight change and improvement from changing the stock tubes and biasing the amp, but the improvement was miles ahead of what I even imagined. Its helped my love of playing guitar to grow. I firmly believe that what helps people keep playing is a great sound and these tubes offer that improvement to your tone if youre looking to replace old tubes. I highly recommend these.

As said by other reviewers these sound much richer than the OEM tubes in my VHT amp. Thanks to these tubes I actually love to hear the sounds coming from that amplifier

The Yellow Jacket Triode configuration works exactly as described. Installation was about 3 minutes. These tubes tame my Randall RT2/50 power amp and allow me to have power section saturation without blowing my windows out and getting the neighbors on the phone to the cops. The resulting sound is full and ballsy, but at at a reasonable volume. With very efficient speakers (say Celestion Blues or other alnicos like Ted Webers) this throttled-down power section will still give a startling amount of volume, so the YJS triodes wont relegate your amp to the bedroom. Perfect practice volume, and maybe enough for a small club. Highly recommended.
