This is a very useful product. The mat is large enough to turn the top of my home office desk into an electronics workstation. The mat protects the desk surface from the heat and solder splashes that inevitably occur while soldering. The compartments are useful for keeping small parts from rolling onto the floor. Excellent addition to my electronics repair tool set.

I purchased this workstation organizer/soldering mat as a way of keeping parts from rolling away and everything a little neater. It looks great, has plenty of compartments and even has compartments that are magnetized for keeping screws and small parts in place until needed. i touched a hot iron to the mat and it didnt burn which was impressive. A fantastic addition to a workstation area!

Ive been tinkering and repairing devices with small parts/screws for a good number of years. If I remembered and wasnt in a hurry, Id typically use a towel to work over to avoid the cursed parts bounce to the floor. If the floor had a rug or carpet on it, and the parts were small, itd become a drawn-out affair trying to find it. This mat came to me rolled up, but flattened out nicely. I like the options for tool and parts storage/organizing while working. I definitely recommend this mat for anyone working on items where you are needing to keep track of parts either for replacement or just to keep from losing them.

Excellent for working on electronics, however, It also works great for me as a knife modifier fits my sharpening station.. and still has room to disassemble small screws, spring’s etc with the Magnetic areas… been using the crap out of it… Well worth the money!!
