Im what I suppose might be considered an ordinary man. Ive always used the cheap flimsy small pocket combs that you can pickup for a buck or so. I was in the market for something new to replace a worn out comb and found this. I didnt want to spend as much on one given Ive been used to only spending a buck on them and I could get ten or so for the price of this right? I went ahead and got one anyways and Im glad I did. Its much more sturdy than the cheap combs, it wont bend and eventually have a permanent bend to it if you keep it in your pocket. It feels better in my hand than a cheap comb and glides through my hair smoother as well. Its a bit larger than most pocket combs but still something you can carry on your person if you wish. It does seem to be a bit easier to fall out of your pocket than the cheap combs Ive been using, mostly when entering/exiting a vehicle. Overall a great comb, time will tell how well it holds up but I expect it will be fine indefinitely as long as I dont misplace it somehow.

I like everything about this comb. It is my favorite. Its a little pricey, but hey, it should last forever, and its comfortable against your scalp. That makes it a bargain in my book.

A little on the expensive side for what my husband usually buys. But, Im tired of him deciding that my more expensive combs are more to his liking so wanted to find one for him that he could use instead.

I purchased Kent The Handmade Comb - 146 mm Medium Size for Thick/Coarse Hair Sawcut 12T. I like the quality of the comb. You can tell its made well, is very strong, and can manipulate hair easily; however, I have a few dislikes: 1) The end points of the comb are a little rough on my scalp. Im not sure if this is something that is common amongst new combs like this and if itll smooth out over time but it has been a slight inconvenience. 2) It is not as perfect as some make it out to be. It is a good comb, I will give it that, but its not as game-changing as some of these reviews would have you believe.

My mistake, I would have preferred a longer comb but this will do for travel.

Bought this for a long beard. Also using every day on a full head of hair. Performance is great and it also looks great.

This is a truly nice comb. It’s super sturdy and the ends of the teeth are smoothed over so they don’t scrape when you drag out scripts your head. It’sa bit pricey, but totally worth it.

Just feels better than any other comb, totally worth a couple extra bucks. I give this as a cheap gift-for-no-reason to friends and family that have been using crappy 99¢ combs all their lives. And if youre still reading... random piece of knowledge on why it feels different: It is made out of acetate rather than injection plastic. Acetate (which really is also plastic) is heavier and denser than injection plastic and so it gives a real sense of weight in your hand. Acetate must be carved from a solid slab rather poured into molds. This is a common difference in sunglasses. If you have a $5 pair, they are likely injection plastic, and if you have a greater than $50 pair they are likely acetate. It takes more money to carve out individual components rather than just mass produce using injection molds. (That being said, were all still gouged by the sunglass makers) If you have pairs at both sides of spectrum tap them with your finger nail or try both on back to back. That expensive feel just acetate. FWIW my favorite looking pair of sunglasses is cheap, I just cant stand how light the feel sometimes.

This entire line of hand-cut pocket and professional combs are the strongest and most durable Ive ever seen. Sure, this comb will cost twice what a common plastic comb will cost, but it will last ten times longer. How often has your present brand been destroyed by other objects kept in the same pocket? This beauty will stand up against Change, Pocket Knives, and Father Time, himself.
