> 3 dayWhen I decided to grow my beard out longer, I discovered there is a whole world of high quality beard care products out there--after half a lifetime wasted using cheap, inferior combs. This is an excellent, high-quality product, which does a beautiful job of combing my beard without snagging. The teeth are cut with a saw and milled/polished to a smooth tip by hand. This means they dont have a seam from injection molding like cheaper combs, and the right width/tooth density for your hair type (this one is a medium sized tooth--just right for longer beards) will not snag your hair at all. The teeth on the Kent fine comb are a bit too close together for the thick hairs of my beard, but the ones on this are just perfect. Highly recommend. Note: I wish they also sold a nice leather sleeve for this comb so it would stay clean and lint-free in your pocket. I am using a felt sleeve made for small reading glasses, but it is less than ideal. I have ordered a leather sleeve made for two pens, and hopefully, that will do the trick. Kent would be doing their customers a solid by offering a high quality leather sleeve for another $10 or so. Kent--are you listening? (August Grooming makes a lovely comb case, but it is not wide enough to accommodate this comb. :( )

04-06-2025Its a decent comb when my beard is wet, but DRY it tends to snag my hair if Im not careful. Even with beard oil in my hair! My wooden beard comb does not do this. The teeth are slightly closer together than my beard comb which it does help make my beard look fuller. I like that it sits in my pocket well and dont even notice its there. If I had to choose one or the other to carry on me, I would stick with the wooden one and use the Kent for when I get out of the shower.

Greater than one weekI thought I lost the one I’ve had for over 10 years so I bought another one. Thankfully I found it. This is the best and only comb I use for a fairly large beard and my hair. Nothing compares to this comb. I love it!!!

> 3 dayThis comb is EXACTLY what I was looking for! The teeth are spaced perfectly for a thick beard. Its a very sturdy comb and it slides smoothly through thick hair. Its nearly impossible for this comb to get caught in thick hair. Ive had much fewer beard hairs die by the comb since I started using the Kent comb. The difference between the Kent comb and a basic cheap plastic comb from a drug store is very noticeable. Its rare to find a comb with medium-spaced teeth like this one without it being attached to a fine-toothed end, so thats another plus.

> 3 dayIt does a good job at combing through and untangling my extremely thick and wild beard. Supposedly these Kent combs better for your beard hair because they dont rip the hair out or something. I dont know about that, but it does work well. The spacing of the combs teeth allows it to comb through my beard. I do think that it is overpriced. I mean after all it is just a comb, and paying over $10 for a comb seems a little ridiculous, but this thing is the gold standard for beardsmen. I suppose this is what allows Kent to snag $10 for a comb.

> 3 dayIm what I suppose might be considered an ordinary man. Ive always used the cheap flimsy small pocket combs that you can pickup for a buck or so. I was in the market for something new to replace a worn out comb and found this. I didnt want to spend as much on one given Ive been used to only spending a buck on them and I could get ten or so for the price of this right? I went ahead and got one anyways and Im glad I did. Its much more sturdy than the cheap combs, it wont bend and eventually have a permanent bend to it if you keep it in your pocket. It feels better in my hand than a cheap comb and glides through my hair smoother as well. Its a bit larger than most pocket combs but still something you can carry on your person if you wish. It does seem to be a bit easier to fall out of your pocket than the cheap combs Ive been using, mostly when entering/exiting a vehicle. Overall a great comb, time will tell how well it holds up but I expect it will be fine indefinitely as long as I dont misplace it somehow.

02-06-2025I am a guy with thick black hair that comes down just past my eyes. When Im showering I find that I greatly benefit from a comb that will help distribute the shampoo and conditioner evenly through my hair. Everyone should do this and assuming you do, this comb comes highly recommended. I never comb my hair when its dry due to thickness so I cant comment on that, but I love this comb for how I use it. The size, weight, teeth length, teeth distance, and appearance are all great. I would guess that for someone with a sensitive scalp, the teeth might be a little too hard and irritating. For everyone else, assuming you arent using excessive force, it feels like a very mild (and somewhat pleasing) scratch. Put some conditioner on your hands, blot it onto your hair, comb it through, leave it in for a few minutes, and watch how healthy it will look.
