The best things about this strainer is that I was able to remove the garbage disposal muffler which gathers food and bacteria and has to be washed very often. The sink strainer acts as both a muffler and strainer and allows for better access to the disposal when you want to throw your food waste into the disposal. This two in one function not only provides for more hygienic conditions, but is so much easier to maintain and keep clean.

We recently had a bad clog crop up with our kitchen sink. The plumber had to snake the clog and $240 later our drain works great. He highly suggested a couple of things: 1) to buy a sink strainer basket like the one with this listing and 2) dont put food items down the disposal. He said all food items should go in trash and not down disposal. He said a strainer basket like the one we purchased with this listing was great as it trapped everything due to it having the edge on sides that goes over the sink hole. We just got this item and it looks beautiful for what it is - and fits perfectly in our sink - so it looks nice and works great at trapping all the items that shouldnt be going down the drain to prevent a future clog. I bought this one over others I saw on amazon.com because it has the wire handle to easily lift it out of the sink. Nice snug fit in drain, very easy to get out without getting hands dirty. Cleaning is never super easy with sink strainers, but this one does not make the process difficult at least.

The punched holes are smooth and equally spaced. The ring is also smooth and fits the drain ring well. This helps reduce bits of gunk sneaking under the basket. The handles simple design allows it to be unobtrusive during use of the sink. The only negative I have is that handle. Its loose in its mounting bracket, which makes it easy to grab out of the drain. Unfortunately, it also means it flops into the center of the stainer when your tapping it against the side of the trash to empty it. Ive started wiping it out to avoid this issue. Overall, a very clean design. With I had one in my bathroom sink to catch the hair!

Glad we purchased this. Could not believe how much debris was going down the drain. Will not go without one again.

Love these, they are hard to clean but easy to dump out, they catch EVERYTHING. Definitely recommend

This is thee best strainer! It keeps all the bits and pieces out of the pipes in your kitchen or laundry room sink.

I love the handle on this sturdy drain strainer. It is much easier to remove and clean. I like that it has a thicker, finished edge of the lip compared to the last drain strainer I had, which I actually cut a finger on once.

Looks quality and easy to clean and pull out VS my old nasty mesh one!

I love these. They are so much easier to catch stuff that you don’t want to go down the drain than are regular sink strainers. They are a fine enough mesh to catch even small particles yet still let the water drain through. And they have handles to pull them up out of the drain even though they lift out easily without them. Great buy!!
