There was some confusion with which app to use. We finally connected with one that worked with Alexa. I would have given up trying to figure it out, but luckily it was my husband setting everything up. Product works as advertised. I just wish that there was an easier process for setting it up. It became the most time intensive setup for a smart device either of us have had. I had to read through the reviews to figure out what we were doing wrong...

I had bought these couple of years back, and happy that they are still allowing to flash tasmota through old firmware (which is a good thing).

The switch works great. It is easy to set up with the app. Dont really need it but the app also records usage. I like that one outlet is constant on.

The app or connection is failt.y. the off and on functions would fail quite regularly. I had to put back my manual switch off plugs. Didnt return bc its not worth the aggravation for the price

Bought these when they were on sale. They were easy to pair with the Alexa app. I’m very happy with them!!

Not very easy to set up. But I managed to get it to work anyhow.

I got this plugs on a sale for $ 16.14 a pack, this means $8.07 per plug. Initial impressions, construction looks good, this seems to be made by KMC and not a rebrand as it regular with all todays procuts as the brand is stamped on the product and not a label. The internal looks of good design and contructions, i got this to be used on my server rack so i can turn off/on individual products in case i need to restart them , like a server or switch. My initial problem was with the claim that After a power outage, outlets will retain their most recent setting to save energy. this is currently not true with the current firmware version, i tried diferent ways and would not work this way so it will not serve my purpuse unless i put tasmota on it. You can control each individual plug on the top row, and the one on the bottom is always on as indicated. I flashed this with tuya-convert and after that i programed the relays to retain memory and stay on the last state. One aded value of this plug is that it has total power monitoring, you can measure the total consumption of all the switches and this is good if you want to monitor your devices or appliances. Another good thing is the little plastic plug on the back that is supposed to align on a US 2 outlet receptacle for added stability, however you may need to remove this if you are going to plug this into any other place like the output of a UPS like in my case. Overall, this is a great value, im taking half a star because of the claim that the relays stay on the last state, this may be corrected on a future firmware upgrade, however this is common for smart devices with a few exceptions.

Instructions in the manual are not accurate. Yet, the setup on wifi was straightforward. The KMC Smart App user interface is easy to navigate. Easy to setup on Google Home or Alexa after setting up on KMC Smart app. Energy monitoring details fairly accurate. Though, the energy monitoring is for the whole smart plug not individual plugs. Individual plug monitoring would have been nicer to have. Dont expect the build quality to be at par with other brand-name smart plugs like Kasa, Wemo, ... Wont bother much about that, as smart-plugs are usually setup only once, oblivious after.

I have alot of smart items in my home. These have recently become my favorite. I have recently started a massive indoor garden. Dozens of lights, thousands of plants. While my other wifi outlets are good at turning the lights on and off on schedule. These outlets are the only ones that show me how much power Im using. I have compared the powet usage info to some KillAWatt outlets and they are accurate.

I was very excited when I got this. The packaging looked nice. The app looked okay, but it was not very friendly (for example, I had to put my Wi-Fi info every time I wanted to connect. Also, there was not an actual picture of this products and I needed to choose the closest. My internet is dual 2.4GHz and 5GHz, but after many tries, I gave up. I am not sure what the issue was, but I think the internet was supposed to be only 2.4 as it said that I have to change my network setting.
