> 24 hourI almost used a multi tool to remove the hundreds of nail sticking through the floor protruding through the basement ceiling in preparation for painting the ceiling. This tool is amazing. Cuts through the nails like butter. Creates a super clean look. My new favorite tool.

> 24 hourI love these nippers, so much better than any other pair Ive owned. I primarily use these to cut copper rivets down to size for leatherworking. The low pivot point give these have amazing leverage. Very good design and a comfortable handle too!

> 24 hourI bought these to pull out nails out of my old trim boards. Theyve a great bite to the nail with easy way to leverage the nail out. Is there cheaper ones out there, yes. Im a buy a nice tool once and spend a little more.

> 24 hourI needed to flush-cut the head off a bolt. There wasnt enough room to get a grip with regular bolt cutters, and I couldnt do it with anything that I found at Home Depot, so ended up searching on amazon and found these. They snipped the head off that bolt with no problem. Unfortunately for my wallet, I loved the build quality and feel-in-hand so much of these things, that I went into a full-on Knipex overdose and bought like 7 more of their tools the next week. They follow the typical pattern for high-end German tools: high quality, great performance, and they cost 2-3x as much as they should. On the plus side, I expect to get a good 20 years of use out of these, so in that context theyre not as expensive as they might seem.

> 24 hourWhoever hung the light fixture in my house was a monster. They used toggle bolts with heads larger than the keyholes. One was put in at a very steep angle. Both were mostly stripped. I was unable to back the fasteners out more than about an inch with a slotted screwdriver. I would happily have ripped the bolts out and just repaired the drywall, but I couldnt get a grip on them or the fixture to do that. I am short and not very strong or comfortable working above my head, especially with a powered saw. Normal bolt cutters are at the wrong angle. So after reading some reviews of these to make sure that they could handle a couple of 1/4 or smaller threaded fasteners, I ordered them. Id rather spend $60 on these than risk getting a head wound or hurting my hands or my eyes. Took less than 5 minutes to get the fixture down, most of which was me moving from one step stool to the other while a friend held the center. Knipex tools are expensive, but they are well made, well balanced, and a pleasure to use. UPDATE Oct 2020: I didnt have any flush cutters or any other cutters, and I was desperate. Because these cutters are not extremely sharp, they are quite handy for gripping and gently rolling 3-4 inch brads out of drywall so you dont get all scratched up. Handy to know if you have to remove trim to get to the edges of your sewage soaked carpet to pull it out it the middle of the night. As you do.

> 24 hourThe way these are designed definitely make making cuts a lot easier, I got them for cutting nails and screws out of baseboard radiators when I can’t get them out, and they work very well with no signs of wear.

> 24 hourKNIPEX 61 02 200 Comfort Grip High Leverage End-Cutters-Bolt Cutters I bought this tool for a specific project -- in a cramped attic to clip flush some roofing nails poking through the sheathing. I own several other end-nippers and cutting a roofing nail is quite difficult with all of them. With this Knipex, its a one handed, simple squeeze. Almost shockingly easy. These cutters do well on up to 16 penny nails, or even 20 penny with a strong squeeze. The pivot point on the cutter head is very near the cutters, which provides tremendous leverage. The handle covers on this made-in-Germany tool are superb -- thick, tough, and comfortable. On the other hand, these cutters will barely dent hardened (Grade 5 or harder) machine screws / nails, or stainless steel screws. On both metal types, try a reciprocating saw with a hacksaw blade. If you force this tool in an attempt to cut hardened screws/nails, the jaws will chip and be ruined – I did that to my first Knipix – and filed a “complaint” via the Knipix web site. They sent a free replacement tool. All I had to do was send the old tool back first; they didn’t even ask for a receipt. Six stars for customer service. I have an extensively equipped workshop and had never spent this much on a small hand tool. If you really need a terrific set of end-nippers for mild steel nails or machine screws, you probably can’t beat these.

> 24 hourI dont know why roofers insist on using nails that are too long. Ive poked my head a few times up there laying wires, etc. I dont want to use a saw and get metal shavings all over. So I use this to trim the nails where I work. Works great and doesnt take a great deal of effort to use.
