> 3 dayI needed to flush-cut the head off a bolt. There wasnt enough room to get a grip with regular bolt cutters, and I couldnt do it with anything that I found at Home Depot, so ended up searching on amazon and found these. They snipped the head off that bolt with no problem. Unfortunately for my wallet, I loved the build quality and feel-in-hand so much of these things, that I went into a full-on Knipex overdose and bought like 7 more of their tools the next week. They follow the typical pattern for high-end German tools: high quality, great performance, and they cost 2-3x as much as they should. On the plus side, I expect to get a good 20 years of use out of these, so in that context theyre not as expensive as they might seem.

> 3 dayI chose these cutters for leather working because they have a compound action. This makes cutting brass rivets more manageable than with traditional cutters, the handles are offset to the side of the cutters and that also helps gaining access to cutting in some hard to reach areas .

> 3 dayI cannot think of a time when I was more glad I spent my money than on this crazy Tool. I am doing a house flip and have had loads of nails in floors, walls and ceilings to remove. This tool is the best at grabbing and easily pulling out whatever you grab. Really well designed and made. If you are hesitating DON’T - you get what you pay for here.

24-11-2024Cuts nails leaving about a 2mm stub. I easily cut nails up to and including 6d and cuts 8d with some effort. Nails much larger than about a 1/10 of an inch in diameter cut more easily with a bolt cutter.

Greater than one weekPurchased to cut off nails protruding from the first floor though into the basement before installing new duct work. The nippers have excellent leverage for cutting through wire nails, even with my mildly arthritic hands. Not good for cut nails, however, as these are harder but fortunately more brittle. Easier to bend these back-and-forth with pliers until they break

> 3 dayThis tool is worth the extra dollars spent. A few days ago, I tried unsuccessfully to trim some nails exposed in my patio woodwork. The standard nipper I used could not make the cuts, so I decided to splurge on this new tool. I tried the tool on the same job today and it cut like butter down to about 1/64 inch (close enough for me). The job did not harm the tool and I do plan to be very selective in how much pressure I use in the future to make sure my investment stays intact. I recommend this tool. It doesnt disappoint.

> 3 dayThese pliers do the work I bought them for. I pull nails and staples with them. Sometimes I use them for cutting nails and staples. The crown head makes it easy to pull nails with little effort. The grip makes them easy to hold onto and use with one hand.
