> 3 dayI dont know why roofers insist on using nails that are too long. Ive poked my head a few times up there laying wires, etc. I dont want to use a saw and get metal shavings all over. So I use this to trim the nails where I work. Works great and doesnt take a great deal of effort to use.

> 3 dayChops through finishing nails like a pretzel stick. If you have nails sticking out of wood that you otherwise cant pull out, this is what you need to cut them down to size.

> 3 dayThis tool is worth the extra dollars spent. A few days ago, I tried unsuccessfully to trim some nails exposed in my patio woodwork. The standard nipper I used could not make the cuts, so I decided to splurge on this new tool. I tried the tool on the same job today and it cut like butter down to about 1/64 inch (close enough for me). The job did not harm the tool and I do plan to be very selective in how much pressure I use in the future to make sure my investment stays intact. I recommend this tool. It doesnt disappoint.

Greater than one weekWhoever hung the light fixture in my house was a monster. They used toggle bolts with heads larger than the keyholes. One was put in at a very steep angle. Both were mostly stripped. I was unable to back the fasteners out more than about an inch with a slotted screwdriver. I would happily have ripped the bolts out and just repaired the drywall, but I couldnt get a grip on them or the fixture to do that. I am short and not very strong or comfortable working above my head, especially with a powered saw. Normal bolt cutters are at the wrong angle. So after reading some reviews of these to make sure that they could handle a couple of 1/4 or smaller threaded fasteners, I ordered them. Id rather spend $60 on these than risk getting a head wound or hurting my hands or my eyes. Took less than 5 minutes to get the fixture down, most of which was me moving from one step stool to the other while a friend held the center. Knipex tools are expensive, but they are well made, well balanced, and a pleasure to use. UPDATE Oct 2020: I didnt have any flush cutters or any other cutters, and I was desperate. Because these cutters are not extremely sharp, they are quite handy for gripping and gently rolling 3-4 inch brads out of drywall so you dont get all scratched up. Handy to know if you have to remove trim to get to the edges of your sewage soaked carpet to pull it out it the middle of the night. As you do.
