> 3 dayThis is my first e-reader. Overall, good device with high quality plastic and a very nice screen. I am happy with the product. It got stuck a couple times while looking up from dictionary. So, I had to restart the device. I believe Kobo will fix it soon.

Greater than one weekI upgraded from a Kobo Aura One to the Libra 2. You might ask why I consider going from a 7.8 device to a 7 device an upgrade. I do, because I have tiny hands and never realized just how much I HATED holding the Aura One until I had the smaller Libra 2 for comparison. I had originally bought the Sage, but due to the battery life and the sheer weight of the thing, I returned it. I love the design of the Libra 2 with the side buttons. I had always thought that my Aura One would be better if I could just hold it on the side, its just where I naturally want to hold an e-reader, but due to the thin side bezels on the Aura One, that wasnt possible. One thing I will say is that the Libra 2 feels better with a case on it. You can get the official case, or a third-party case here on Amazon for half the price, and from what I gather, weighs less than the official case as well. I got one from BOZHUORUI that has a pretty starry pattern on it, but there are plenty of other options at this point. I love the Libra 2 for its size and weight. It also has an AMAZING screen, and great battery life. Sure, the last gen model H20 might be lighter than the 2, but I think the 2 with the case I got for it, is the sweet spot for what an e-reader should weigh, at least for me, personally. I have been reading a lot more since I bought the Libra 2, compared to my Aura One. If you have a Kobo device thats several years old, dont hesitate to upgrade! If you have a last-gen model, its probably not worth it. I cant do any comparisons with Kindle devices, as I dont own any, but the Libra 2 costs less than the Paperwhite Signature Edition (which also has 32gb so is comparable) and significantly less than the Oasis (which has the page turn buttons on the side), and has the amazing screen and everything.

> 3 dayFour stars for being a great sturdy device with good buttons and wonderful screen. Software is perfect and easy to use, love overdrive support. Wish it were a bit lighter to hold one handed. I found it easier to flip it sideward and read that way, it can rest on my knees that way.

Greater than one weekKindle is similar but this one is a better price for same quality if not better. Love the white color it’s literally exactly what I wanted. Easy to hold and the app to buy books is super simple. Stop comparing and buy!!!!

> 3 dayI love that it has physical page-turn buttons. The slight angle of the bit you hold is very nice, it gives easier access to the buttons and feels more like holding a book. Battery lasts a long time, and does not drain fast on standby. Sometimes the screen ghosts a little bit, but it clears up pretty quick.

> 3 dayThe Kobo Libra 2 is a very nice ebook, as ebook readers go. I bought it because my library has tens of thousand more epub books than kindle books. There is two major problems with it; 1. Read the fine print about library books and Kobo. IF THE BOOK DOES NOT EXIST IN THE KOBO STORE THAN YOU CAN NOT GET IT FROM THE PUBLIC LIBRARY. 2. Do a search on the end of Overdrive. The company wants to terminate the Overdrive app and plans to do it by the end of 2022. It is pushing all libraries using Overdrive to switch to the Libby app. Libby is a great app but it is not on Kobo. If none of the above bothers or affects you then go for the Kobo Libra 2. If the above concerns you then get a small Android tablet or iPad mini or use your smart phone. All support Libby and complete access to your library. Advisorys: Amazon Fire MAY NOT support Libby so be careful there, also Color tablets are not great in the sunlight. Happy Reading!

> 3 dayI unboxed my Kobo Libra 2 and fell in love with it. Sadly as I configured it I realized that my massive kindle library was not compatible with the Kobo e-reader. (Before Kobo loyalists nuke me, I know there are ways to do it but I was not willing to do chetaah flips to do it). Anyway loved the screen, configuration, etc but was bummed to have to return it. I think there should be a disclamer somewhere, or at least something in the comparison blocks where it also listed the Kindle paperwhite, that the Kobo is not compatable with Kindle e-books.

Greater than one weekI dont understand people going with the proprietary Kindle e-readers. This Kobo has all the features of the latest Kindle, no ads and you can load virtually any open format e-book on it through the USB port( it works like a storage drive when you connect it to your PC) You can also use the Kobo e-book store if you like you download your book directly to your e-reader as well as get e-books from your local library for free.

> 3 dayI ordered this Kobo after the Kindles latest changes to the user interface. I really couldnt stand the changes in the Kindle software. This is a great replacement for the Kindle. There are not pages and pages of ads on the home page. Navigation is simple and intuitive. The screen is crisp and high resolution. The comfort light is warm. Its light and fits in my hand comfortably. (The metal of the Kindle Oasis always kind of cut into my palm when I held it without the case.) Im not missing my Kindles at all!

Greater than one weekPurchased both this and the Paperwhite 2021 version and I like this one much better. The screens and lighting are very much similar but the Kobo has the added feature of adjusting the brightness by dragging your finger on the side of the screen while still reading. The Kobo has the physical buttons which is nice but the best feature of the Kobo is that it is very easy to hold due to the casing material used. The Paperwhite material is very smooth and constantly slides around while holding it. This was the major drawback between the two. I also like the Kobo user interface, it seems more polished and has more options. Kobo can also play many more book formats without the need for conversion. If you are in the market for an ebook this is highly recommended. Only problem at this moment in time is trying to find an appropriate cover. They still have not hit the market yet.
