> 3 dayI unboxed my Kobo Libra 2 and fell in love with it. Sadly as I configured it I realized that my massive kindle library was not compatible with the Kobo e-reader. (Before Kobo loyalists nuke me, I know there are ways to do it but I was not willing to do chetaah flips to do it). Anyway loved the screen, configuration, etc but was bummed to have to return it. I think there should be a disclamer somewhere, or at least something in the comparison blocks where it also listed the Kindle paperwhite, that the Kobo is not compatable with Kindle e-books.

> 3 daySorry Amazon. I am loving my new Kobo Libra 2. I have owned four Kindles in the past and they always seemed to have something lacking for me. I have the latest Kindle Paperwhite but somehow the touchscreen was at times either too sensitive or not sensitive enough and I got frustrated. I went back to using my ancient Kindle Keyboard since I liked the buttons for page turning but it was not backlit. I considered the Oasis but got so turned off by the cost, the mini USB and the extra $20 for no ads. I had heard about the Kobo Libra 2 and decided to try it when it was on sale. Since I borrow e-books from the library a lot, it is so easy now. Love the page turn buttons and even the touch screen functions are not frustrating. Glad I made the purchase.

> 3 dayI upgraded to this from the original Paperwhite. While I loved my Paperwhite, it had no backlight and was showing sings of wear and tear. After a lot of research, I chose Kobo due to the native overdrive configuration. To be able to check out library books directly to my device was amazing. I love this thing! Its quick, snappy, I CAN READ AT NIGHT, and the ability to click buttons to turn the page is something I didnt realize I needed. I also love the placement of the power button on the back. I never accidentally lock it while reading. The Kobo store is more pricey than the kindle store (makes sense because kindle works out deals with their authors) but they have sales and your points build up quickly. I believe that it also accepts epubs natively if you need to sideload books bought on other platforms.

Greater than one weekSo far, I have read Fitzgeralds The Great Gatsby, Dickens Great Expectations, Wildes The Importance of being Earnest, Homers Odyssey, Gilmans The Yellow Wallpaper, Joyces Ulysses, several Philip K. Dick short stories, and I am working my way through Homers Iliad. It fits in the back pocket of my Levis, and anytime Im waiting for an appointment or have a little down time, Im reading on it. BTW, a good source of older books is The Gutenberg Project -- they are all free!

Greater than one weekI really like this device... Even though I had to return it. Device is super light and easy to hold. Much lighter than my kindle. However I did have to return it due to the Kobo store not being the best. I thought Id give this a shot even though I knew I cant do without the kindle store, and after going back and forth on whether to keep it, I ultimately decided to return. If you want something that is not a Kindle and does not have a very good store for purchasing books, Id recommend this device. Its easy to use, and very nice to look at.

> 3 dayI ordered this Kobo after the Kindles latest changes to the user interface. I really couldnt stand the changes in the Kindle software. This is a great replacement for the Kindle. There are not pages and pages of ads on the home page. Navigation is simple and intuitive. The screen is crisp and high resolution. The comfort light is warm. Its light and fits in my hand comfortably. (The metal of the Kindle Oasis always kind of cut into my palm when I held it without the case.) Im not missing my Kindles at all!

> 3 dayThis is my second Kobo device and Im very pleased: The screen quality is magnificent and the battery life is out of this world. I love that this device doesnt restrict me to one bookstore and that I can side-load e-books that I already own or use it to read e-books that Ive made, myself. Would I prefer a slightly larger screen (like my previous Kobo)? Yes. Is this screen too small? No. Do I prefer buttons to touch-screen? No. Do the buttons work well? Yes. Does the touch-screen work well? Yes. Do you need both buttons and touch-screen? No. Will I continue to purchase Kobo e-readers? YES!
