The Bad News: Its not made in the U.S.A., and that made it tough to buy at the outset. The Good News: You name it. Every feature of this Komelon tape measure is top tier. The accuracy, markings, horizontal extension, retraction strength, and overall fit and finish make it the best tape measure Ive ever owned.

This was a Christmas gift & I was happy to give a tape with the fractions labeled. High quality & hubby loved his gift. Excited to simplify measuring. One thing that made us CRAZY! The packaging!! Sent by Amazon—is there need for shoplifter proof packaging? Took 10 minutes to remove from the plastic.

Convenient sized tape measure and it retracts fast so using it is a breeze.

I got this a while ago and shortly after having it the locking feature ended up getting stuck when I tried to slide the button down. It also had trouble going back in after a while of using it. I didnt even use it that often and still ended up with several issues after a while of putting up with it I threw it away.

Exactly what Im looking for in a measuring tape. Its very sturdy. The tape is hard to bend and the lock is perfectly stiff. The whole thing weighs a fair bit and is covered in a rubbery shell so it should easily survive an accidental drop or two. It has feet that help it sit on a flat surface ready for use whenever you need it.
