> 3 dayI bought the local Ace brand air gap and went to install it and noticed that there is only one rubber gasket that is supposed to go on top of the counter and is visible. The previous air gap was the same brand and someone installed with the gasket below and the sink deck had gotten wet over the years with water seeping through the crack. I returned it for this product. The gasket at the top is seamless and prevents water from seeping down below the sink. The gasket below is a further guard against any water intrusion. So for me it was worth the extra $$ for piece of mind and not worrying about leaks.

> 3 dayI noticed most of the reviews on here are for the soap pump, so I’m happy to provide insight on the air gap. Even though it took over a week to arrive, it’s here and I love it. It’s actual metal, stainless steel, that matches my faucet perfectly. The flat top detail is gorgeous and unlike any of the other ones I saw when researching them. I also love how this air gap cover has threads on the inside, so it actually screws onto the air gap pipe underneath, instead of just snapping on top of it. I would have liked the option to order just the cover and not the whole piece, but it gave us the opportunity to swap out our old air gap for a new, much cleaner one. Hands down would recommend this air gap. I can’t speak on the soap pump since I don’t have one.
