Greater than one weekI had no experience with in ear studio monitors (IEM) before this; my arsenal consists of airpods, apple earphones, random other earphones, Sennheiser 558, some experience with some Yamaha studio monitor speakers, and Sennheiser HD650s. So my initial impression was just ew! But I replaced the tips with Comply t500 tips, and I fell in love with them. However, be aware, they have a very clinical sound, very dry and grey, but quite detailed, at least compared with my arsenal at the time. Kind of like a dry scientific paper that replicated previous findings, as opposed to an award winning fictional novel. Or military rations as opposed to a chefs choice dinner. These are for the black coffee drinkers, the grey 2004 Toyota Sentra base model drivers who oil their car every winter, and use an exclusively black-and-white laser printer at home. I know, it sounds like these are not enjoyable per se, but they can be with the attitude that you are critically listening, or analyzing the sound, as opposed to enjoying an artistic piece for aesthetic pleasure. Hence, these definitely need some burn-in time. For myself, a few days was enough. These AS10s have been my daily driver for the past few weeks, and I have found them fantastic for commuting with the Comply tips mentioned above; good sound isolation. These got me interested enough in critical listening and detailed sound to buy some Shure SE846s; unfortunately I sent them back due to some problems with the order. Nevertheless, of course in comparison, the KZ AS10s lacked any hint of sparkly treble or mind-altering bass. However, the detail is there if you look for it, and the bass is controlled, calm, and is there as well. I now have some Ikko OH10s, and they follow a similar sound signature IMO, with added bass/sub-bass and soundscape in comparison to the AS10s. I do miss the SE846s; but if you can live without the aesthetic bass/sub-bass and sparkly treble, these are overall fantastic IEMs, and I am convinced that one can compose fantastic music or analyze music critically with these IEMs alone without need for upgrade. If you like these but want just a tad more detail, fantastic soundscape, and proper bass/sub-bass for ~$170 more, my initial (<1h) impression of the Ikko OH10s would be as an upgrade to AS10 along these dimensions. Have fun on your journey/research for your endgame IEMs :)!

> 3 daysound is ok ----- build is not rugged ---- connections at yolk and ear plug ends are delicate --- extreme caution needed --- not good for a working musician.

Greater than one weekI will use these as IEM with a Galaxy 1000AT wireless monitor. I’m a vocalist and harmonica player. They are clear and loud and the sound isolation is awesome. I’m running 2 channels into the transmitter, one for vocal input and the other for harp input. Definetly an upgrade compared to cheap earbuds. The fit and feel great too, very secure. Waiting on Comfy tips to provide even more noise isolation and comfort.

> 3 dayThese sound amazing! I can hear everything. I would have given 5 stars except I had to upgrade the cable to a more comfortable one that doesnt slip off of my ears.

Greater than one weekPurchased these headphones as an upgrade from the KZ ZS6 headphones. Wanted something with a little more clarity and greater distinction in the sound. Have to say, I was very pleased. My first set of In-ear monitors were priced at $300 at only possessed three drivers. This pair, at a fifth of the cost, had greater clarity of sound, better distinction with the lows and highs, and were more comfortable. Would highly recommend this product to other customers.

> 3 dayIve owned these ear buds for almost a year now and I have to say, they sound really good. In fact, they are the best ear buds in terms of sound quality I have ever owned. The problem is that these ear buds constantly get tangled when I put them down which is so frustrating. However, the worst thing about these ear buds is that the rubber ear tips constantly gets stuck in my ear canel when I remove the buds from my ears. This has never been a problem with any other ear buds Ive used. Due to these serious design choices I can not recommend them for anyone even though they have excellent sound quality. Do better.

Greater than one weekI’ve use these in ear monitors 2-3 times a week for live gigs for about 2 months. I recently got into the world of clicks and In Ear Monitors (IEM) are a must there. So, after getting a $20 set just to get my toes wet, I decided to upgrade. I knew I couldn’t afford the $3k+ IEM I’ve sampled in my experience, but I also knew the sound quality with my entry set was terrible. I needed a good middle of the road set of IEM’s. I’m on a budget, so I began my search for a solid budget friendly set of in ears. KZ has long been known for quality budget, entry level IEM’s, but I hadn’t seen these AS10’s before. As their (current) flagship product, I was impressed from the first images and specs I saw. After learning it boats FIVE Balanced Armature (BA) speakers, I knew I had to try it. Leaving the ‘how it works’ conversation to others, just think of a BA speaker as one programmed to have high quality sound for a certain frequency of sound, vs a Dynamic Driver (traditional speaker) playing all frequency’s pretty good. With 5 BA speakers, you can pretty well cover the entire human hearing range. Having a different speaker to isolate frequencies in the low-med-high ranges, vs forcing one speaker to play them all, makes for a much better overall sound experience. All this to say that this is a feature that you don’t always even find in ‘high end’ in ear monitors. This high end feature at a budget friendly price makes owning a set of quality hardware that much easier for the guy who wants to have good sound and not brake the bank. I’ve only had them for about 2 months so I cannot completely attest to their durability at this time, but I have no reason to doubt that this piece of my equipment will be there for me when I need it for some time to come. I strongly suggest this if you are looking for a good deal on a quality set of IEM’s. I would, however, recommend getting a set of foam tips. This minor upgrade can make any IEM somewhat better. By making a proper seal in the ear canal not only do you gain the highest quality listening experience for the speakers you are using, but you also protect your ear by not only allowing bleed in from outside sound, but also making it so you don’t have to turn your IEM’s anywhere near as loud overall. I usually keep my incoming signal at between 40-50% max volume. Only reason I didn’t give 5 starts for comfort is I have weird shaped ears. They fit inside well enough, but don’t hang comfortably on the outer ear. Nothing but love for all who read this comment. God bless.

> 3 dayIve been using IEM for about 3 years now, but Im also cheap and do not see why name brand IEM are $100 or more and they arent even that great. Ive used the Mee Audio Pro M6 (1st version) for the majority of the time and I must say those are decent, but I do get ear fatigue with them after a long show and the mix isnt super clear. These KZ AS10s though, just wow, very very very clear and not noticable ear fatigue yet. I still enjoy my Probably due to the balanced armatures instead of the drivers. Bass is not very punchy, but it is accurate. Watch the You Tube Channel Guns n Guitars for his review on these, his description is pretty good, probably better for singers and for audio engineers. I play a little of everything so I wanted to start with these first, theyre definitely the best IEM Ive used yet, but Ill definitely be looking into other KZs in the future for slightly more bass response.
