i needed to read the dimensions but it said large and the pic showed it with curling iron and it looked large but believe me its not and its super flimsy not sure how long its going to last

What i expected. You can put the hoy iron over it and it protects the original surface which it is on.

Bought this to protect my counters from the heat from my new flat iron and also to carry the iron while travelling. It works great, and my flat iron just does fit so I can snap the button closed when finished. The only slight draw-back is that its difficult to fit the cord inside the pouch; I just use the velcro tie on the cord and leave it sticking out of the pouch. If travelling, you wouldnt be able to put the still hot flat iron and cord in the pouch, anyway.

Works great. Does what is supposed to do. Great price too!

Love this. I can put my hot flat iron in it and button it and pack or just leave it on my counter and not worry about my 2 year olds getting burnt.
