My daughter hasnt had this 24 hours and the part in the picture fell off. Now I have to try and find a new nut. But other then that its a great scooter.

Its practically rideable right out of the box. You just have to insert the handle bars and adjust the stem height. Super Easy. The whole thing feels solid and sturdy without being heavy at all. I own a bike and wanted to add another low impact exercise to my routine. I figured this would be a great leg and glute workout. Heres what I liked: Good sized deck, comfortable handle bars, nice grip, easy to adjust stem height, kick stand doesnt interfere with the foot kicking on that side, easy to open and fold, light enough to carry and lift into my trunk with one hand. Here are my issues: 1. no suspension and the wheels do not do well over anything on the sidewalk. If there was a stray piece of gravel, the wheel would slip. The traction isnt great. 2. The rougher the surface the the more vibration you feel. This probably wouldnt be noticeable to a kid or teen or someone without joint issues, but my body was buzzing when I got off. It really is a good scooter, especially for the price, which is why I still gave it 5 stars. I just need something with good suspension and air filled tired to help mitigate the vibration. I think this scooter will work for most people and would still recommend it despite it not being a good fit for me.

Bought this for Christmas for my 11 year old special needs son. He loves it, put it together by himself and rides it everywhere. Its durable and so far scratch proof. My 14 year old (61, 225lb) rides it with ease too. Overall the best scooter Ive ever purchased. Owners sent an email asking if everything was to my liking and to let them know if it wasnt. If I ever have to purchase another scooter, it will be this company

I bought this scooter because my kids just got good at their scooters and I couldnt keep up. This is WORLDS better than stealing my oldests razor. The big wheels make for a much smoother ride, the wide deck feels so much better on my feet, and the handlebars are scaled for an adult body. I appreciated that it came with the tools needed to tighten everything up. Between unpacking and the first scoot was maybe ten minutes. My partner tried it and also wants one now. I cant speak to how this compares to other adult scooters, but it more than meets my needs.

    1. In order to receive an advertised free lock, one has to post a review on Amazon - not mentioned anywhere on the initially advertised leaflet. In addition, offer is limited to 1 per household only. We bought 2 LaScoota scooters, spent $200 and will receive only 1 lock. 2. I bought 2 LaScoota Teen/Adult scooters (purple and plum colors) for me and my husband and 2 Razor Lux for my 6 and 7-year-old kids. 3. Differences between Razor Lux 5 and LaScoota: a) handlebars are longer on LaScoota, making for a more comfortable grip while riding (Razor Lux 5 grip is thinner and shorter, by about 5 mm) b) Razor Lux is easier to fold and lighter making it more portable - Razor is lighter by about 1.5 pounds b) LaScoota plum-colored scooter cost $89.99, cargo/army colored scooter cost $99.00. Razors Lux 5 (blue and pink colors) cost $69.99 on the Walmart website, as part of a holiday special (now they are $89.99) c) My plum-colored LaScoota had difficulties with the folding mechanism from the beginning - the plastic was too high at the folding part, making it almost impossible to fold, even with a help of my strong husband. As a result, my husband had to loosen the bolt a bit, and, not surprisingly, the bolt got lost while riding. I am awaiting a replacement item from Amazon (its on its way). I was wondering about returning the plum LaScoota and replacing it with the Lux Razor (red color), however, I like the LaScoota handlebars a bit better and this kind of made me want to give a second chance to LaScoota. Hopefully, the folding mechanism will work better on my replacement item. I will provide an updated review once I have received my replacement LaScoota item. I really want this to work this time. d) If I had to commute everyday to work and rely on folding the scooter to take it on bus/subway/train, etc., I would most likely take Razor Lux, even though the handlebars may not be that comfortable as on LaScoota, because it is much lighter and easier to fold than LaScoota e) Similarities: the ride is equally smooth on both Razor Lux and LaScoota

I purchased 2 of these for my 6 and 7 year old girls, and they havent ridden their awesome, brand new bikes since! They love the scooters, and so do I. I will pull the handle bars up to my height (511, 175 lbs) and take it out for a spin occassionally, and it performs great for me as well. It can be a little tough to fold. My kids are unable to get the little button pressed in enough to fold them, but not hard for an adult. They look great, the wheels will roll over most any little rock in the road, so not much worry about taking a digger face first due to s small, overlooked pebble in the road. Overall, best scooter weve owned, and we have owned a few of the trendy and pricey models. Best value in my opinion. Oh, and the color choices are awesome!

It is very fun to ride around the neighborhood. It is lightweight but seems sturdy enough (i.e. so far it hasnt broke lol). Took it on 3 rides so far about 2 miles each on sidewalks and pavement. Am a grown adult. So far havent broke it. I like to ride the scooter and walk my dog at the same time. Sometimes I let the dog pull me and its so fun. Its nice having a small scooter because if I need to jump off for better control of my big dog its pretty easy to control my big dog and keep ahold of the scooter because the scooter is so lightweight its like nothing.

Ill be honest, this is my second lascoota, the first one after 6 months of regular daily use snapped after hitting a crack of pavement hard enough to pothole. Its sturdy and useful in areas with smooth pavement. Obviously the scooters arent useful off-road or on terrible unmanaged roads. It folds thin and is easily stored without the $250 price tag that comes with folding bicycles.

When you open the scooter and you see that metal plate that blocks the handle bars from being inserted - it’s a block to keep the handlebars out during shipment. Just remove it by pulling it straight out. If the scooter seems noisy, just remove the strap used to carry it. I replaced my bearings with REDS bearings to allow for further and faster travel. The scooter is lightweight, pretty sturdy, just gotta really tighten the bar to remove any shake from the equation. 4 stars because the wheels feel cheaper than expected and bearings were as good as Walmart. Expected for the price but definitely a good scooter for starters and casual ride and commute.

I purchased 2 of these. 1 for my daughter and 1 for me. Both of them make different noise while riding down the sidewalk. These have not been out in the rain or abused in any way. They are fun to ride, if you can tune out he noises.
