Lights were relatively easy to install and a good brightness level when clustered together. Install was in an outdoor jasmine arbor, on a three hour timer that brought the lights on at dusk. Light string completely stopped working after several months. Could be water intrusion or other issues. Now we need to unwind it from the arbor and get a new string. YMMV.

White lights

These were to replace old rope lights round a palm tree that had burned out. Even tho these are ‘strip’ rather than ‘rope’ they are still fully encased in PVA - not like the adhesive indoor LED strips. BUT - as a result the lights are only viewable from ONE SIDE not all round like rope lights. They’re also brighter (and less warm white) than I anticipated but they usually either dim with time or as the PVA casing clouds over from UV instability. Generally very happy with purchase !

The only complaint I have with these lights is it doesnt tell you exactly where to cut it on the strip. There is no line or any indication so that you are not cutting in the wrong. There are some gaps in the spacing but dont know if that is where to cut. Should be a line or arrow or the image of scissors or something. And the clips used to mount them or horrendous. Cant screw them down tight or they will come off the screw and it doesnt hold them on tight. I used double sided tape to take the slack out. They are very bright for warm white, I put them under the deck railings hoping it would take some of the brightness away, will put a dimmer on them. Other than that they are good quality, just need better clips, too flimsy, light strip is thick.

This is not a rope light, this is a tape light, Flat sided. I was looking to replace my years old rope light that had started being dim and already had all the hooks in place to do so. I went ahead and installed this light using them anyway even though therye a bit big for it. The clips they send with it will entail being mounted with the supplied screws, a much more tideous process. The lights are super bright so I would suggest getting a dimmer to plug them into. Luckily I already had that from my previous ones. Hopefully these will last as long as my old set did, time will tell

Weve had the lights 11 months. Really like the way they light up the yard. Last week a section went out. The warranty says 50,000 hrs. We only run them 1-2 hours a week. When we tried to to find out warrarty information, Amazon says to contact seller. Trying to find the seller information is next to impossible. When you serach for the seller info it points to Amazon.

Funny thing, I purchased this item in the 50’ length to replace an LED “rope” light that illuminated the interior of my gun safe and had become dim. These lights I’m reviewing are very bright but I cannot use them. That’s my fault not the company that manufactures, distributes or sells them. These lights are suitable for wrapping around objects or on a linear line with gentle turns. They are very durable and again, very bright. I need an LED light that is able to bend in 360 degrees along and across its axis and the round rope lights did this ... they were just bulky. Technology improves through feedback, so keep telling your experience with products.

Im using this product in an indoor application. Looks nice and tape style strip mounts well. Total power draw was measured to be 84W rather than the quoted wattage in the description.

These lights are BRIGHT! They also appear to be longer then the round rope lights they replaced, but its an optical illusion. They are flat and even though they were rolled up, they were flat right out of the box. I didnt have to unwind them and leave them be for a few days like I normally do with standard rope lights. They are super easy to hang, they are very light weight, and they are bright! I can see the glow before I see my house! I have them on a wrap around porch and they are up so that they are facing towards the house, not out from it. I wanted the porch to be well lit. I am thinking about trying them so they are facing the drive. With as bright as these are, I think I will still have a well lit porch. As soon as I can figure out how to do it, I will post pictures and update this review. If you want a lot of light, these are perfect. If you want a more subtle light, then these arent the ones you want.

If your looking for bright lights look no further. Not sure how Im gonna like them on my deck since they are hard on my eyes being an older woman with an eye issue. Thank goodness we ordered a dimmer.
