I bought a second string of these lights to connect to the first and basically outline the edge of a pool. They are almost neon looking. We plugged into a time that comes on at dusk and leave them on for 2 or 4 hours depending on intent to be outside. They are bright - the white would be too much for us - and I did have to shield a couple of places that were too close to some solar spotlights that wouldnt come on due to the light of the rope light. But once I worked that out they look great.

Added a 50ft strand along our fence line and It lit up 1/2 of our large backyard! I wish we could use a dimmer with them. The rubbery plastic holders are a bit cumbersome to screw into but work well enough. Not a quick job to install 50 ft and Im good with tools. :) We live in the PNW so Ill be curious to see how it holds up during the rainy season. All in all happy with the purchase.

I have used these lights since last fall and they are still working perfectly. This rope light was easy to install and is attached to a mechanical timer. If you use a dusk to dawn then you might have issues since they are so bright. They will turn off if the sensor is too close and might require a short extension cord to get the sensor further away.

I strung my light rope, spiraling, around the flag ropes supporting my 8 foot wide, 12 foot long flag (suspended between two trees). Well, at one point some lights went off, but this was entirely my own fault… I had re-tightened the flag rope, not realizing it overstressed the light rope because I had not left enough slack. However, dismantling this, and re-stringing it, the light rope recovered and lit again, and hasn’t been a problem since. This amounts to a stress test… and this light rope passed very well… impressive! So I bought more! It has my endorsement (but don’t do what I did!!)

Very simple to install, clips fit perfect and these lights couldnt be brighter! May be getting another set soon!

They were easy to install with the supplied hardware. They are bright and seem to be well put together. So far works well.

I am really happy with the brightness of the product. Its flat type, and thicker which makes it more durable but, harder to manage in some situations. Inst. say not waterproof, but seal the ends and keep ends dry and should be fine outdoors. If water gets in, it will likely be the end of them. so seal the end, as per inst. and keep ends and beginning connections dry to insure to keep water out of product. Its the brightest I have ever seen.

These were to replace old rope lights round a palm tree that had burned out. Even tho these are ‘strip’ rather than ‘rope’ they are still fully encased in PVA - not like the adhesive indoor LED strips. BUT - as a result the lights are only viewable from ONE SIDE not all round like rope lights. They’re also brighter (and less warm white) than I anticipated but they usually either dim with time or as the PVA casing clouds over from UV instability. Generally very happy with purchase !

these lights are real nice and the exact size I needed, but im giving it 4 starts because its not a ROPE light, its a strip light, which makes it a little more challenging to install it. meaning the lights are on 1 side of the strip and you have to orient the strip just right to get the light where you want it. I looks great and all but if you really need ROPE then avoid this. if youre ok with strip, then these are a good quality and a good price.
