My kids collect all kinds of Critters. We use this for housing our monarchs from eggs to butterflies. We also use it as a travel cage for hermit crabs. It has the perfect amount of space and is portable

    Greater than one week

I keep garden snails as pets (lol I know) and these are perfect enclosures for them. I kind of wish the X-large Keepers had handles on the top like the smaller versions do but not having them there isnt a huge draw back. The lid fits very securely and is sometimes a bit hard to remove but I dont think thats really a bad thing. Id personally rather have it fit tightly and be a bit hard to remove then be loose.

Not pleased. There really is not much to go wrong with this product but the two essentials are both quality impaired. The covering top lid is way too tight fitting. The opening lid is equally to tight. I have two other habitats that are perfect.

The cage was the right size, but arrived with a HUGE crack. Back it went. Im re-ordering because we cant find another cage with its specs--Im hoping this time we will luck out. I will update this review with our experience once we receive the new cage. Update: Second time lucky---very happy with our purchase.

Nice economic solution for a frog terrarium. I fostered several tadpoles that eventually grew into frogs. I’m keeping them safe for a few weeks before releasing. The lid is a bit challenging to remove but the hinged opening incorporated in the lid reduces the need to remove the lid for feeding. I can get my hand through the opening so it works out. I raised monarchs in this too. The caterpillars climb to the top and can attach to the lid when spinning into a chrysalis. Again....the lid is problematic ...I just leave it loosely covered then because it would damage the chrysalis when wrestling off the lid.

I used this as a temporary tank for a crested gecko. It works fine and is sturdy. However, the blue lid doesn’t quite match up with the bottom perfectly, so it is really difficult to open the lid once you snap it closed. I think maybe the tank part is a little warped so it isn’t completely square. There are also rough edges on the lip of the tank from the plastic being cut, and I think that adds to the friction of keeping the lid from coming off easily. The clear access door on the top works well, but it is just wide enough for me (female with small arms) to get my arm to the bottom of the tank. I recommend this if you can’t afford a glass terrarium or if you have a low maintenance critter that you don’t try to get out to hold, but it’s a big hassle if you’re trying to access things inside frequently.

Lee"s Rectangular Kritter Keepers may be used as space-saving aquariums or insect havens, but are also ideal for use as kritter totes, terrariums or nurseries.
