Packaged great! Perfect for my cricket house. Lightweight (unlike a 10 gal aquarium), easy to clean. Con-- the lid is near impossible to remove, snapped on, now doesnt want to come off.

The actual inside dimensions at the bottom are 13 75 long x 7.25 wide. The inside height from bottom to top lip is 11 inches. Even the paper inside the box has the wrong dimensions. The biggest error is in the width. The dimensions show on this page are with the cover on the top and since the box is beveled in design it is much smaller on the bottom. Im VERRY sorry I ordered this pet container.

You get exactly what you order, 5.5 gallon plastic critter keeper. The plastic that the enclosure is made out of is actually pretty thick and seems pretty durable. The top to the enclosure on the other hand is a little thinner and cheap, but you get what you pay for!

Just what I needed for my breeding needs. The size was great. I purchased many of them. Will be back in the future.

I bought two of these. On both the clear center door/lid broke. Still a great product, just warn your kids to go easy on the door. PS. the X-Large is very large. Bigger than I anticipated.

We use kritter keepers of various sizes in our menagerie for very young New Caledonian geckos, or as temporary housing for quarantine or cleaning. This particular size (x-large) I purchased for a 14 gram Crestie so I dont have to lug its Exo Terra to our gecko-sitter while were on vacation. With some cork bark, fake plants, and an adjustable bamboo branch it should be very comfy in here for a few days! They arent the most durable, but theyre lightweight and inexpensive and seem to both hold humidity well and provide good ventilation. The clear plastic also makes for great viewing, but could make a tiny lizard nervous so we will cover three sides in paper to provide more security. I would not keep an adult in here for more than the time it takes to clean its normal tank though - a larger plastic storage tub would be more appropriate. And I dont think this would work at all for a reptile that needs supplemental heating and lighting.

Brought to keep Madagascar hissing cockroaches. At $24.99 the product is very overpriced. I have since searched online and found it for over $10 cheaper. The product itself is fine - except the door is kinda small, so we end up having to take the whole lid off. This is a bit of a struggle as the catches are quite tight. Good for keeping crawlies inside though - we have not had any escapes in the 10 days we have been keeping the young cockroaches in this.

I used it for hermit crabs. Would of been better if it was longer width wise rather than in height (for my particular use) The top is a little difficult to get off but its ok. All in all its a pretty good hard plastic tank.
