This is a solid 5-star laptop for Productivity and it could even be marketed as a Performance computer.  However, marketing this build as a gaming laptop is weak, at best, so I am assigning 4 stars overall.

Battery life only lasts 3 1/2 hours

The device performance amazingly with alot of AAA games and its definitely worth the cost to get this budget laptop.

I needed a laptop that could support Xactimate for insurance adjusting. Thats a very heavy program and this laptop had never even stuttered. It works perfectly for what I need.

Makes a lot of noise.

Quietest gaming laptop for the price. I’ve had other budget gaming laptops that you open Chrome and it sounds like a jet engine is taking off (Acer Nitro 5). This laptop is extremely quiet and reasonably quiet while gaming. When the wife plays her games I can’t even tell. Laptop does really well. Privacy filter on the web cam is also an added plus.

the laptop itself is amazing. runs around 100 fps+ on most games that I have played that is very impactful on your pc such as cod and halo. the battery life is the only problem. barley last over an hour on a full charged battery. doesnt affect me too much though because I usually always have it plugged in, but that is something to mention. I also recommend upgrading the ram to make it faster, but it is also good as is. overall great laptop for gaming, but if you are always on the move and dont have a way to charge it all the time, I suggest looking for a different laptop
