I got this laptop thinking it was a great price, after I ordered it I looked up on Best Buy and it was $100 cheaper, so make sure you check Best Buy before buying this. After I received my laptop, the touchpad stopped working, it wasn’t responsive. After calling customer service to return the laptop, they told me I can’t return it because it’s considered “hazardous material”. I should’ve lied and told them I didn’t use the laptop, they would’ve accepted a refund. Keep in mind that the laptop only has 256 GB in storage memory, so unless you’re okay with opening the laptop (like I did to install a 500 GB ssd card) don’t get it. By the way, the mousepad started working after I opened the laptop and put my ssd card in it. I didn’t do anything else, it just magically started working again.

This laptop is a fantastic value for the price and is brutally fast at 1080p. But going into this you must know that unless youre content with just playing a couple of games, and most people are not, then youre going to need to dole out a bit more money, $100-200, in order to add an additional SSD to the laptop, which it does have a space for a secondary SSD. Now you could go with a 1Gb but Id really recommend you save up and go for a 2Gb as you will find 1Gb runs out fast. Also the memory at 8Gb is likely borderline in need of an upgrade as well.

I’m assuming that they will be what my grands wanted, but it’s not Xmas yet so they haven’t even received them yet.

Upon arrival, the computer would not boot up. Furthermore, the build quality looks cheap, like plastic. It seems like a deal but isnt. Avoid this product.

Apparently there is a fairly common issue of Wi-Fi dropping randomly. Not exactly sure why not drivers or anything like that. When I looked up fixes seems like a lot of people with this particular laptop have this issue. Most fixes involve reinstalling windows, going into bios or doing things I dont think I should have to do for a brand new computer. Drivers and updates are no big deal even small fixes are not a problem for me but having to reinstall windows or some other nonsense right out of the box, not happy.

Item was DOA and would not charge. Tried to get a replacement but they would only refund my purchase price and would have to buy again but now its not on sale anymore so I would end up paying more than $100 extra.

Added one 8gb stick of ram and pulled the tiny nvme in favor of a Sabrent 2tb nvme. Only drawback that I came across is the 2.5 drive and the full sized nvme slots occupy the same space, so you have to choose which you want. Would have been happier if the choice was between the smaller nvme slot and the 2.5 slot, but the 2tb drive I installed is plenty.

For its price point, I am impressed with this laptop. I really like the GTX 1650 GPU which allowed me to run Second Life at 50 fps which is good and comparable to what I get on more powerful desktop computers. Realize that display is only 1080 HD, the SSD is only 256 GB and RAM is 8 GB shared with the graphics. There is no touch screen. Given those limitations, this is still a very powerful gaming machine. The laptop came with a bag of misc parts and no reference in the manual on how to use them. They appear to be parts needed to install a 2.5” hard disk or SSD which considering the small size of the SSD in this model, I found very interesting. I did find a maintenance manual online that looks like it might be useful in taking advantage of these parts. It would be nice if the unit had come with instructions because I would definitely be interested in upgrading the storage on this laptop. The small SSD that came with this laptop is very fast. Things that I didn’t like about this laptop was that although it has a camera on it, it does not support the face recognition for Windows Hello, nor does it have finger print recognition. The other thing I didn’t like was that after spending a day running Windows 10 updates, it still wasn’t at 21H1 when it done updating. Hopefully it will catch up soon. It may sound like I am not happy with this laptop, but that isn’t true. I really like it. The wifi was very fast reaching speeds close to what my ISP service provides.
