Leviton 61110-BC6 eXtreme 6+ QuickPort Connector, CAT 6, Crimson, 25-Pack

I have always been a fan of leviton switches and outlets so when I went to do my home network I and saw the quickport series products from Levition It was a no brainer for me. But after some research I found that these are just keystone connectors..but not really! Leviton makes these connectors just big enough that they will not clip into my other keystone plates that I bought on amazon and from Lowes. Now the quality of the connector appears to be decent but the install is horrible. After I bought this I realized the wires do not punch down parallel to the top of the connector like any standard Ethernet connector for an easy install. Instead Leviton decided to make the wire come in perpendicular to the back of the connector making the install almost impossible if you are using any quality cable that has a thicker jacket, or for when your install is in a tight space. Now the connector did manage to get gigabit speeds and they have a nice wiring stickers for 568a/b for when you are installing the connector, but I decided to just toss these out and go with Commscopes 10G M series connectors for my cat6a 1091 cable. Lastly these connectors are 4-5 dollars more than any other cat6 keystone connector you can find on amazon.

Not much to say here.. It works as expected. I had no problems with this part. It works perfect. Yep.

These are of great build quality, but are kind of a pain to put the cable on. Also, since you have to put them face down, you need to make sure to not put them anywhere where they would get scratched, I scratched one of them, when I was trying to punch the cable on.

Works as expected

Install wasnt too bad, only part I wasnt sure about was after snapping the cover onto the back should the excess wire be cut off? I tested the connection with a light up tool, everything looked good. No complaints.

As Advertised!

A favorite quick connect for the home. Colored connectors placed in a black, contrasting, complimentary, or other off-color housing, panel or gang looks pretty nice. They look nice in a custom wood panel or gang too. Quick and easy punchdown. Too bad there are no pinks in their color palette. It would be nice if they did have some type of pink (rose, persian, bonbon, brilliant)) and cerise (hollywood or deep ). A bit non-standard, but theyd still be fun to have and I know a couple friends who would love pink connectors in their homes.

This wasnt what I was expecting to get when I ordered. I thought the picture indicated a different product so I returned it.
