Install wasnt too bad, only part I wasnt sure about was after snapping the cover onto the back should the excess wire be cut off? I tested the connection with a light up tool, everything looked good. No complaints.

How difficult can it be to punch down a keystone jack? I bought these jacks, that are almost $7 a piece versus CableMatters $2 each, thinking that I could speed up terminations with Fluke’s JackRapid tool. What a huge disappointment. First off, the cable is only able to come out at an angle using the JackRapid and not straight out the back of these keystones. Not Leviton’s fault, I’ll admit. Try and punch these jacks with a 110 tool and there is no strain relief when you have the network cable coming straight out from the jack. Definitely the combination of the 23 AWG cable + JackRapid tool + expensive Leviton QuickPorts = frustration... wasted time. I can do 3 CableMatter’s jacks with a 110 than I can using the “QuickPort” jacks. The quality of the jacks is very good but that doesn’t cut the mustard when installing them takes so long.

Ive been using these for the past 15 years and they are the only ones I found that reliably work all the time. They really support proper cat 6 speeds and never fail, unless you screw up the install. They maybe expensive, but you will save in the long term with them. I tried some other brands and I kept having problems with the network, which all went away when I switched back to these. So I will just keep using these in the future. The only drawback is that they are not the easiest to install, but its also not that bad

This Cat6 Ethernet jack snaps into the matching Leviton faceplates. I use the Leviton 6-port faceplate in a 2x3 layout. Start populating with these jacks on the top row first, then work down. The faceplate says which way is UP. I use it with the Leviton punch tool. Everything works really well. It has attached stickers for type A and type B Ethernet wiring. Peel away the top sticker (B) to reveal the bottom sticker (A). Works great. It doesnt matter if you use A or B, but you have to be consistent -- each end of the wire has to be wired the same. For my house, many years ago I chose A. There is also a snap-on cable holder (shaped like a U) that helps hold the wiring in place. It isnt visible in the photo, but is a nice touch. I highly recommend these. I especially like the large variety of colors available. I use the white jacks for regular Ethernet (Internet), green jacks for CCTV cameras, and red jacks for digital speakers. Scott

Professional keystones that fit all standard wall plates. Experts will argue about what brand is best but I prefer Leviton for their ease of installation and low profile. I can buy cheap wall plates, port panels, etc. and this keystone fits all of them. Well marked for 568B and comes with low profile caps. Excellent product!

I gave only 4 stars because of the following: 1) They only show the B version of wiring for on the product. Though, A version of the wiring code isnt used as much these days. 2) Sturdy connectors for the punch down of the RJ45. 3) The hold down guide that comes with the product has a good design and is easy to install. 4) Recommend Buy of the Levition 6110-RW6 eXtreme 6+ Quick Port Connector, Cat6. I choose white.

I bought two of these for the ends of a new cat6 cable run I installed and could not get them to transmit the signal correctly. After wasting an hour trying to reseat wires and retesting gave up on them and had to buy another (cheaper) brand that was also much easier to connect and they are working fine. Would not spend the extra for these, get a lower cost, easier to connect brand. And to rub salt in the wound Amazon will not let me return them because their window to return has closed.

I have always been a fan of leviton switches and outlets so when I went to do my home network I and saw the quickport series products from Levition It was a no brainer for me. But after some research I found that these are just keystone connectors..but not really! Leviton makes these connectors just big enough that they will not clip into my other keystone plates that I bought on amazon and from Lowes. Now the quality of the connector appears to be decent but the install is horrible. After I bought this I realized the wires do not punch down parallel to the top of the connector like any standard Ethernet connector for an easy install. Instead Leviton decided to make the wire come in perpendicular to the back of the connector making the install almost impossible if you are using any quality cable that has a thicker jacket, or for when your install is in a tight space. Now the connector did manage to get gigabit speeds and they have a nice wiring stickers for 568a/b for when you are installing the connector, but I decided to just toss these out and go with Commscopes 10G M series connectors for my cat6a 1091 cable. Lastly these connectors are 4-5 dollars more than any other cat6 keystone connector you can find on amazon.

This connector and the wall plate worked perfectly for my hardwired extension into my office. Cable was very easy to install.
