Great quality monitor for the price!!!!

Good quality monitor. My bf uses it for gaming on the new Xbox. Graphics are clear. The monitor does not have a sound system.

I was genuinely surprised by the quality of my 24 Gaming Monitor. The conception of this monitor is very outstanding for the price range. The tilt can easily go up and down and switching from portrait to landscape is as easy as breathing. The installation of the monitor as never been that easy. No screw, just plug and play! I use it now as my main monitor for Gaming and Website Testing jobs. It is definitely the best use for this monitor. Concerning the software. I had some issues concerning the AMD FreeSync at the beginning until I downloaded the LG software. It wasnt clear if the software would be compatible and I had to try. OnScreen Control can be downloaded directly on LG website and it works perfectly with very neat splitting screen options. The other con I would have and that is not major at all, its about the darkness of the screen. In movie mode (or manual mode), the black is more anthracite than deep black. As I draw regularly, I dont use this screen for the design as the screen colorimetry is very good for gaming especially. So far so good!

BUYERS BEWARE! It’s very contradicting that something like this is advertised at 1080p @144hz (Or 120hz) but yet the recommended settings was 1080p @60hz. (HDMI ONLY) I bought this monitor in hopes to have a great gaming experience at 120hz for my Xbox One X. Unfortunately I found it only works well at 60hz with FreeSync On. I’ve tried multiple modes @120hz on the monitor including the different options on my Xbox as well and it seems that this monitor is more directed towards a PC rather than console. Running @60hz was actually a better experience than trying to run @120hz (Yes Xbox One X can run 120hz if you change the TV settings specifically on the console settings) NOTE: On the instructions for set up included in the box, the recommended resolution was 1080p @60hz (HDMI ONLY) Also, The display port will only work for PC or something that is display port compatible. I’ve tried using a display port to HDMI conversion and it would say no signal even with free sync off. Picture quality isn’t too bad for a TN monitor but it can be noticeable if you don’t have the correct settings for your application. Overall I think this would be a decent buy for a competitive PC gamer, you would have ALOT more flexibility with the Display Port rather than HDMI. I fully believe in the positive reviews for this monitor but I would trust in using this as something for PC. As for Xbox, running @60hz would be your best option when using this monitor. For the money I would absolutely reconsider purchasing this monitor for console. NOTE: This Review was based upon Xbox One X ...NOT... Xbox Series X or S

The LG 24GL650-B is an awesome gaming monitor with a lot of cool features. This monitor was a breeze to setup. It took me five minutes to get it up and running and even included a DisplayPort cable. I was able to obtain 144hz with the DisplayPort and HDMI wire with the latest version of Nvidia drivers for my GPU. The stand is pretty sturdy and allows tilt and height adjustments. Changing the monitor to show vertically for my Microsoft Excel spreadsheets really helps with productivity. There are different game modes that changes or enhances the picture. I prefer the normal presets as the colors can get really bright and dark with some of the options. I’m currently playing Gears 5, State of Decay 2, and Forza Horizon 4 on the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. I do notice minimal input lag compared to my previous 75hz monitor. Having the higher refresh rate definitely raises the competitive bar. Overall, this 1080p 144hz gaming monitor really checks all the boxes that I was searching for. The colors of the monitor seem pretty accurate out of the box. The red accents on the back of the monitor and leg stands go well with my PC setup. I’m really happy with my purchase and recommend to all gamers that want to game at 1080p. This monitor is balanced and capable of being able to handle the needs of works and allowing me to unwind after work playing some video games with friends. I can honestly say this will be a centerpiece on my desk for many years to come. My one dissatisfaction with this monitor is the ability to easily switch between the inputs. The picture quality is much better than I expected and has been the perfect addition to my office. Additionally the versatility of this monitor allowing me to switch between views to better assist me when working and gaming. Although I havent needed to use the built in speakers very often they do come in handy and sound extremely clear when needed. The base is stable and offers an adjustable height to allow the best viewing angles.
