> 3 dayI have owned this monitor for almost 2 years now. Pros: Basically dual monitors with no bezel. I can easily place two windows side by side without compromise. Thin bezel Good color Cons: The stand wobbles like crazy during normal use. As I am typing the whole monitor wobbles. Pixel density is noticeable. Not great at all. This is my biggest complaint with the monitor but it is expected for the price. Overall a good value

Greater than one weekColor looks good, works for gaming , im not a hardcore gamer but from time to time , i played Far Cry New Dawn on it and looks pretty good, no issues nor complains. The option to connect 2 laptops on the same monitor and handle them with the same keyboard and mouse its awesome, but only works with windows and macos , not with linux/unix but no complains. the only part i dont like much is that the sw to split the screen, would be perfect if it can create a virtual monitor, so when you working remote, you can work like in 2 monitors, but thats ok... And the price, a good deal would be $249.

> 3 dayPicture quality is great, dark scenes are way better than my Acer VX Nitros built in screen. An ultrawide like this is a must have for laptops with a single video output! Excellent for youtube videos, casual gaming, and any sort of work related task.

17-11-2024I came into the office this morning and plugged in my MacBook Pro to my 2 LG (29UM59A-P) monitors and all was good. 30 minutes into my day one of the monitors became flush with brightness with a darker splotch in the bottom right hand corner. In the time it took me to comprise the message to the Amazon seller asking about warranty (I bought this monitor in Apr 2019) the screen started going nuts projecting iridescent colors from the corner which used to be black. Minutes later I smelled smoke and looked down to see the bottom right hand corner of the panel smoldering. Thankfully I was sitting at my desk and was able to unplug the monitor before the burning escalated. What if I had walked away? What if it happened in the middle of the night? I called u/LG support to let them know that their product started on fire - and they responded like this is a pretty regular call they take. The first gal was nice - did actually apologize a couple times - took down all of my information, had me upload images (attached), and finished with a resounding you will need to pay for a technician to come out to diagnose the issue. Say what?! Your product - started on fire(!) - and I need to pay for a technician to evaluate it?! I then got transferred to the escalation department where things took a turn from moderately sympathetic to just straight business. They agreed to send a tech out for free (oh, how kind) and determine if the damage can be repaired. Yes, I am super interested in you repairing my monitor which caught fire. The bigger question is - how common is an LG screen burning? I have an identical monitor sitting right beside the burn victim - when is its time? I have an LG OLED on the wall at home with my pregnant wife and toddler - if it starts smoking she wont unplug it she will grab our little one and get out. Call me old fashioned but my assumption with consumer electronics is that fire should be extremely rare and when it does occur the manufacturer representatives should be aghast and sympathetic. Am I wrong in that assumption? Buyer beware when looking at LG products - hopefully this is rare, gladly it was caught quickly - but, lesson learned.

> 3 dayThis is my first ultra wide monitor, which replaced my 27 Apple display. I was surprised by the picture quality and build quality, especially since this model was a lot cheaper than the models available with the same specs (ASUS, Dell, Other LGs, etc.). I was thinking about investing $300 more to purchase the Asus MX29UC 4K monitor, but Im glad I did not. My main use for this monitor is for data analysis. My current workflow with this monitor seems a bit smoother, and the transition from a dual monitor setup was surprisingly easy. The LG screen split software is also amazing to use, but its not any different from using dual monitor setups with 4+ windows open. You are mostly limited by windows that snap to the screen, which means that the screen split modes are fixed and adjusting some of the windows to your preferred size is a bit annoying once in a specific screen split mode. Also, it seems that it takes a little bit of work to get the Mac OS to drive 2560 x 1080, or a 21:9 aspect ratio. Once you get through the display settings, the monitor is truly wonderful to use. I currently have my work computer (2013 MacBook Pro) connected to this monitor through mini-display port to Display port. I also have it mounted to a Vivo VESA mount. One thing to note: the monitor description mentioned HDMI, and USB-C ports. However, the monitor that I received had a Display port and HDMI, and no USB-C. You might want to check the images of the back panel for confirmation of existing ports before purchasing.

> 3 daySince I want to have a wide monitor to split into 2, I bought this item. But when I spit it, I have trouble seeing the contents from each side, especially for the words.
